Lamb

A lamb placed on the blade of a sword, the last of its herd, the last of its lineage. As the sword descends, a black crown forms upon its head, and from this act, a new cult is born. From that moment, goats aim to form their own cults, growing in power with each new follower.

Ability Score Increase

  • Choose one of: (a) Choose any +2; choose any other +1 (b) Choose three different +1

Age

  • Lambs reach maturity at the age of 10 but can live for centuries, as long as their cult thrives, with some even reaching the age of elves if they maintain leadership.

Alignment

  • Most Lambs are pragmatic and self-serving, often leaning toward chaotic tendencies. However, their alignment can vary based on their cult's teachings.

Creature Type

  • You are a Fiend.

Speed

  • Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Size

  • Lambs are Small creatures.

Traits

Dark Influence

  • You gain proficiency in the Persuasion skill. Additionally, once per long rest, you can reroll a failed Charisma (Persuasion) check, but you must use the new roll.

Dark Eyes

  • You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Book of Followers

  • As the leader of your cult, you gain power from your followers. When you perform a ritual to induct a new follower into your cult, write their name in your tome using their blood. For each name written, you gain 1 temporary hit point. You can only gain temporary hit points this way once per long rest. The maximum number of temporary hit points you can have from this feature is equal to five times your proficiency bonus.

Hellish Resistance

  • You have resistance to fire damage.

Inspiring Cult

  • During a long rest, you can inspire your followers by reciting the teachings of your cult. After this, you and up to 6 other creatures of your choice that completed the long rest with you gain temporary hit points equal to your level + your Charisma modifier. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Speak with Goats

  • You can cast Speak with Animals at will, but only to communicate with goats or lambs.

Languages

  • You can speak, read, and write Common and Infernal.
