Circle of Gemstones for Druid

Luminous as the Stone

Druids are often understood to be agents of life, but it would be more accurate to call them agents of nature, which includes nonliving matter such as stone or metal. Druids of the Circle of Gemstones are drawn to the brilliance and hardness of the natural jewels found within the earth, and are able to take on these traits to protect themselves and their allies.

Druids of this circle are unmoving beacons, standing firm as bright examples to those around them. They are at home in the earth, and their value, like those of the stones they emulate, is plain for all to see.

Subclass Features

Crystalline Magic

2nd-level Circle of Gemstones feature

You refract light like the gems your circle is named after. You gain the light and word of radiance cantrips. These cantrips count as druid cantrips for you, and don't count against the number of druid cantrips you know.

Diamond Form

2nd-level Circle of Gemstones feature

As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to take on a diamond form, rather than transforming into a beast.

While in your diamond form, you retain your game statistics, but crystalline structures grow all over your body, protecting you and magnifying ambient light. You gain a bonus to AC equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) and have resistance to all damage except thunder damage.

Additionally, if you are standing in darkness, you shed dim light in a 10-foot radius. If you are standing in dim light, you shed bright light in a 10-foot radius. If you are standing in bright light, you shed damaging light in a 10-foot radius. Any creature of your choice which starts its turn in this area of damaging light must make a Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the start of your next turn.

The form lasts for 10 minutes. It ends early if you dismiss it (no action required), are incapacitated, die, or use this feature again.

Alluring Glow

6th-level Circle of Gemstones feature

Your light draws enemies to you and away from your allies. Anytime you force a creature to make a saving throw against the blinded condition or to prevent taking radiant damage, that creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you until the start of your next turn, regardless of whether it succeeds or fails the saving throw.

Excavator

10th-level Circle of Gemstones feature

Your connection to the earth allows you to move through it like a bird through the air. Your walking speed increases by 15 feet and you gain a burrowing speed equal to your walking speed.

You can burrow through solid rock at half your burrowing speed and leave a 5-foot-diameter tunnel in your wake.

Radiant Renewal

14th-level Circle of Gemstones feature

Your refracted, sacred light protects your allies. While your Diamond Form is active, creatures of your choice (including you) which start their turn within your light are immune to the blinded condition and gain a number of temporary hit points equal to your druid level + your Wisdom modifier.
