Shrill Gricks have a long yellow stripe running down the tops and bottoms of their bodies that differentiates them from the average grick. This prevents them from gaining Stone Camouflage


Actions

Multiattack. The grick makes one attack with its tentacles. If that attack hits, the grick can make one beak attack against the same target.

Tentacles. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 0) slashing damage

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit 5 (1d6 + 0) piercing damage

Screech Ranged Attack: (Recharge 4-6) The shrill grick lets out a shrill screech in a 20 ft. cone. Each creature in the area mush succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or take 9 (2d8) thunder damage, become stunned until the end of its next turn, and become deafened for 1 minutes. A deafened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the deafened condition on itself on a success.

Acid Trail. As the alpha grick moves, it leaves a trail of acid behind it. The trail is considered difficult terrain. If a creature ends its turn in the trail, it takes 4 (1d6) acid damage. The trail dissipates after a 2 rounds


Actions

Multiattack. the grick makes two attacks: one with its tail and one with its tentacles. If it hits with its tentacles, the grick can make one beak attack against the same target.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) bludgeoning damage.

Tentacles.. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit 22 (4d8 +4) slashing damage.

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit 13 (2d8+4) piercing damage.

Acid Spit Ranged Attack: Target must succeed a DC 12 Dex save or take 12 (2d6 +4) acid damage, range 30 ft. The spit leaves a puddle of acid that acts the same as Acid Trail.


Legendary Actions

Alpha Grick can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Alpha Grick regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn

Acid Dash. The Alpha Grick moves up to its movement speed, not provoking attacks of opportunity.

Tentacle Grab. The Alpha Grick attempts to grab a target creature with two of its tentacles. The creature must beat a contested Acrobatics or Athletics check or becomes grappled. The Alpha Grick can only grapple two creatures at a time.

Reckless Swipe [3 legendary actions]. Alpha Greck swings its tail around itself. Everyone within 10 ft. around it must make a DC 15 saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is hit by the tail. After using Reckless Swipe, the next attack on the Alpha Grick has advantage, and can crit on a 19 or 20.
