Path of the Fey Warrior

Barbarian: Path of the Fey Warrior [v1.1]

In the hidden corners of the world, there exist beings who live on the fringes of reality, where the material plane brushes against the enchanting realm of the Feywild.

These individuals, known as Fey Warriors, are blessed or cursed, depending on one's perspective, with a connection to the mystical and unpredictable nature of the Fey.

Fey Warriors are unique individuals, straddling the line between the mundane and the enchanting, forging their own path in a world that teems with both peril and wonder.

Whether they use their abilities for the protection of the Feywild, personal glory, or a higher purpose, they are always bound by the unpredictable, ethereal magic that flows through their very being.

Sylvan Diplomacy

3rd-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

You can speak, read, and write Sylvan. Additionally, you gain proficiency in either Deception or Intimidation.

When you reach level 6 you gain expertise in the skill you chose at level 3 and proficiency in the other. And when you reach level 10 you gain expertise with the skill you gained at level 6.

Finally, starting at level 14 you have advantage on ability checks you make when interacting with Fey creatures.

Whisperstep

3rd-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

As part of the bonus action used to enter a Rage or by using a bonus action while raging on the following turns you can teleport to a place you can see within a distance equal to half of your movement speed.

After using Whisperstep and until the beginning of your next turn, any weapon attack you hit deals additional damage equal to your Charisma modifier.

Feywild Gambit

3rd-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

When you make your first attack on your turn, you can decide to embrace the unpredictability of the feywild and attack with reckless abandon.

Doing so increases the critical success range of your weapon attack rolls to 19-20, but also increases the critical fail range to 1-2 until the beginning of your next turn.

When you reach level 6 in this class the critical success range increases to 18-20 and the critical fail range to 1-3. At level 10 increases to 17-20 for successes and 1-4 for fails. Finally, at level 14, it increases to 16-20 for successes and 1-5 for fails.

If you critically fail while attacking in this manner the attack backfires, roll damage for the attack and apply it to yourself.

This feature cannot be combined with reckless attack.

Fey Resilience

6th-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed and frightened, and magic can't put you to sleep.

If you are raging you can add your Rage Damage Bonus to your saving throws against being charmed and frightened.

Starting at level 10, you can also add your charisma modifier to any saving throw you make against being frightened or charmed.

Bewitching Blade

6th-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

Starting at level 6, once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC of 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Charisma Modifier or be charmed by you or frightened of you, your choice, until the end of your next turn or until it takes damage.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier (minimum one). You regain all your uses of this feature when you finish a short or long rest.

If you are raging when you use this ability you can add your rage damage bonus to the DC of the saving throw.

Whisperstep Strike

10th-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

When you use your Whisperstep ability you can, as part of the same bonus action, make one weapon attack against a creature within your range.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier (minimum one). You regain all your uses of this feature when you finish a short or long rest.

Fey Mirages

10th-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

Whenever you enter a rage a number of illusory duplicates equal to your charisma modifier (minimum one) appear in your space, as per the Mirror Image spell.

Treat having more than three duplicates as if you had three. Any remaining duplicates disappear when your rage ends.

Sylvan Rebuke

10th-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

When you succeed on a saving throw against being charmed or frightened, you can use your reaction to attempt to turn it back on the creature who targeted you. The creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against a DC of 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Charisma modifier or be charmed by you or frightened of you, your choice, for 1 minute.

If you are raging you can add your Rage Damage Bonus to the DC of this ability.

Harvest the Enchanted

14th-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

At 14th level, you learn how to capitalize on enemies that are enchanted.

One per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend a number of Hit Die up to your charisma modifier (minimum one) to deal psychic damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage. The damage equals the sum of the rolls of the Hit Die you spent plus your charisma modifier.

Wings of the Fey

14th-level Path of the Fey Warrior feature

Starting at 14th level, you can use a bonus action to manifest a pair of spectral fairy wings from your back. While the wings are present, you have a flying speed equal to your walking speed. The wings last until you're incapacitated, you die, or you dismiss them as a bonus action.
