Race: Chipi
Chipi are a small primate race, typically with slender bodies and limbs with long, narrow hands. They are generally around 3 feet in height and weigh about 25lbs. A 4 foot tall Chipi would be considered extraordinarily tall, and the length of their tails can often be equal to their stature. Their fur can be long and shaggy or short, and and tends to orange, brown, black, white, or a mix thereof. Their eyes may be large in relation to their head, and favor shades of green, orange, brown, or black. Chipi mature around age 15, and can live to around 75 years.
Chipi are native to the forests and jungles, and are well-suited to climbing and moving through the trees. Those who have migrated to cities do often move about on the ground by necessity, but typically prefer elevated dwellings and can sometimes be seen hopping rooftop to rooftop.
Exuberant
Chipi are known for their playful, often mischievous, nature, and their unquenchable curiosity. Their communities are inclined to be lively and very socially engaged, buzzing with activity of trade, performance, debate, and more. Due to their lively social customs, many Chipi prove to be proficient performers, whether they take to song, dance, theatrics, or storytelling.
Chipi have a special knack for seeing the wonder in all things, and for venturing to understand the mystery in all things. It is true that few Chipi may expose themselves to dangerous adventuring, but leaving the troop is often simply a rite of passage - a time to go out and experience the world while young and able. While some may choose to live out their entire lives as adventurers or simply settle outside of their troop, many return to their community with new knowledge, goods, or a mate, but always with stories to tell of adventure and wonder.
