Gloam Field

5th-Level Transmutation

  • Components: S, M (A hand held object contaminated with shadow magic)
  • Duration: Concentration, up to 10 minutes
  • Classes: Bard, Warlock, Sorcerer

A radial field of dark and exotic magic that ensnares and slows enemies radiates from you like an aura with a 60-foot radius. Until the spell ends, the field moves with you, centered on you. You deal extra damage equal to the level of spell slot used to cast this spell for the duration of the spell.


You and all allied creatures in the field have resistance to force, necrotic, psychic, and radiant damage. And once per turn, when either you or an allied creature deals damage to a hostile creature within the field, you and all allied creatures within the field regain 5 + 3d4 hit points.


All hostile creatures within the field treat the area as if it were difficult terrain and must make a Charisma saving throw or suffer a -5 penalty to AC and all rolls they make. If a hostile creature is immune to or has advantage on saving throws against difficult terrain, they do not suffer the -5 penalty.


Creatures neutral to you and allies cannot see or be effected by the spell.


At Higher Levels.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the range of the spell increases by 60 feet for each slot level above 5th.
