Strength Domain

Your devotion is by no means above others who serve their deity, you simply let it fuel every motion in your life. The Strength Domain focuses on one thing in particular: the exaltation of raw, brute physical might. The servants of such Gods inspire others to strike out with radiant fervour and become more than a mortal, but a bastion against those who would stand against faith. Deities associated with the Domain of Strength include, but are not limited to: Zeus, Hercules, Thor, Shiva, Khorne, the Abrahamic God.

Domain Spells

You gain oath spells at the cleric levels listed in the Strength Domain Spells Table. See the Divine Domain class feature for how domain spells work.

Cleric Level Spells
1st Wrathful Smite, Searing Smite
3rd Enlarge/Reduce, Enhance Ability
5th Blinding Smite, Phantom Steed
7th Fire Shield, Death Ward
9th Steel Wind Strike, Banishing Smite

Tough as Steel

When you choose this domain at level 1, your body's toughness becomes capable of bolstering your defensive capabilities, as well as your offensive ones. When you're not wearing armor or wielding a shield, your Armor Class is equal to 10 + your wisdom modifier + your strength modifier. You also gain proficiency in all martial weapons.

Hand of the True God

Also starting at 1st level, your faith in the principle of absolute strength rewards you with the implements needed to combat heresy. Choose either the Greenflame Blade or the Booming Blade cantrips: you learn the cantrip of your choice, it counts as a Cleric cantrip for you and it doesn't count against the number of Cleric cantrips you know. It deals radiant damage when you cast it this way, instead of its normal damage type, and you can use your unarmed strikes as the material component for them. This also extends to other spells that utilize weapons as material components, such as Steel Wind Strike

Channel Divinity: Cry of Fervour

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your channel divinity to let out a roar that bolsters your companions.

As a bonus action, you can choose any number of creatures within 30 feet of you, including yourself. Until the start of your next turn, they have advantage to melee attack rolls, and deal an extra 1d4 damage when they hit with a melee attack.

Impregnable Fortress

Starting at 6th level, your faith bolsters your body to the point that weaker attacks bounce off of you entirely. Whenever you're subjected to Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage, and you're not wearing any armor, you reduce the incoming damage by an amount equal to your strength modifier.

Mighty Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Strength modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip

Devotion Through Act

Finally at 17th level, your devotion to your god gifts you with a truly formidable body. You gain the following benefits:

  • When you're not wearing armor, you gain a bonus to your Constitution and Strength saving throws equal to your Wisdom Modifier
  • Moreover if you're unarmored and you're subjected to a strength or constitution saving throw to halve the damage of an effect and succeed it, you take no damage instead.
  • you gain proficiency in the athletics skill if you weren't already proficient in it; your proficiency bonus is doubled for any checks you make with this skill
