Fortune Domain

Gods of fortune watch over its whims carving a path for it to follow where they see fit. Luck is just one force that these deities’ control. Many bless mortals with wealth beyond their wildest dreams, whereas some see that misfortune is a punishment worth learning from. Much like the sides of a coin, followers of these deities come in many forms, some seek to balance the scale between fortune and misfortune, while others seek reward or punishment from their deities. After all, luck is only a small piece to one's fortune.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency with one gaming set of your choice: dice set or playing card set.

Prosper

At 1st level natural luck favors you. Whenever you fail an ability check or saving throw, you can choose to add your Wisdom modifier to the total of the roll (a minimum of 1), potentially turning the fail into a success.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Balance Fortune

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to enter a divine state that allows you to share fortune's balance with creatures around you. This divine state lasts for 1 minute or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell).

For the duration, whenever another creature you can see makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can use your reaction to have that creature make an additional roll.

You choose if the creature uses the highest or lowest roll. If the roll you choose is the highest, you gain disadvantage on your next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. If the roll you choose is the lowest, you gain advantage on your next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw.

Enrich Object

At 6th level you can spend a 10 minute ritual while holding a tiny object to increase its value. After the ritual is complete the gold piece cost of the object is increased by 1d10 + twice your cleric level, in addition to taking on a new appealing appearance determined by your DM. A coin cannot be used as an object in this ritual. An object cannot be used more than once as part of this ritual.

When you reach 14th level you can use small objects as part of this ritual.

Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Potent Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Fortune's Favourite

At 17th level, you gain the following benefits while using your Balance Fortune Channel Divinity option:

  • Creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls made against you.
  • You have advantage on saving throws made against spells and other harmful effects.
  • You can choose to ignore advantage or disadvantage on your attack rolls, ability checks, or saving throws.
