1. How it was formed:

  • The Ever-growing Consortium was formed in response to the invasion of the human and dwarven kingdoms from Drigin Crest into the lands of Haven. Fey beings, treants, and other powerful creatures united to protect their homeland and preserve the delicate balance of nature.

2. Purpose:

  • The Ever-growing Consortium's purpose is to defend the natural realm of Haven from external threats and reclaim the lands that have been taken by the invading kingdoms. They aim to restore harmony and balance, safeguarding the Feywild and its inhabitants.

3. Location:

  • The Ever-growing Consortium operates primarily within the heart of Haven, protecting the ancient forests, enchanted glades, and mystical groves. Their strongholds are hidden deep within the magical forests, concealed from prying eyes and accessible only to those who possess the purest intentions.

4. Kingdom:

  • The kingdom of the Ever-growing Consortium is a realm of vibrant and ethereal beauty. Enchanted forests stretch as far as the eye can see, with towering trees, luminous flora, and captivating wildlife. The landscape is ever-changing and infused with potent magical energies.

5. Social Structure:

  • The Ever-growing Consortium is led by a council of elders, wise and ancient beings who possess profound knowledge and deep connections to the natural world. Speaker Treeward, as the leader of the treants of the north, holds great influence and is a respected figure among the faction's members.

6. Leaders:

  • Speaker Treeward: The wise and venerable leader of the treants of the north, Speaker Treeward embodies the strength and wisdom of the ancient forests. With their deep-rooted knowledge of nature and their ability to communicate with plants and animals, they guide the Ever-growing Consortium in its mission to protect and reclaim Haven.

  • Venomfang: Leader of the Servants Coil, Venomfang is a powerful gorgon who commands a group of fey beings and other creatures that share similar venomous abilities. Their presence adds a formidable force to the Ever-growing Consortium's ranks.

  • Grendak Bloodfist Warbringer: Leader of the Ironclad Enclave, Grendak is a formidable minotaur known for their unyielding strength and warrior prowess. They rally centaurs and other mythical creatures, forming a resilient front-line defense for the Consortium.

  • Scout Carnivalhead: The enigmatic sorcerer fairy, Scout Carnivalhead, leads a unique subfaction within the Ever-growing Consortium. Her carnival is a whimsical and mysterious gathering of attractions, showcasing the wonders of the Feywild. Some notable attractions includes:

  • "The Hall of Illusions": A maze-like structure that challenges visitors' perception and sense of reality, filled with enchanting illusions and mind-bending puzzles.

  • "The Enchanted Menagerie": A collection of rare and fantastical creatures from the Feywild, ranging from shimmering sprites to elusive unicorn-like creatures.

  • "The Dance of Elemental Flames": A mesmerizing performance where fire elementals and skilled fire dancers entwine, creating a breathtaking spectacle of light and heat.

7. Specialties among the Faction:

  • The Ever-growing Consortium excels in nature-based magic and elemental manipulation. They wield the power of plants, summon forces of the wild, and command the energies of the Feywild to defend their homeland.

  • The Servants Coil, led by Venomfang, specializes in venomous attacks, petrification, and illusions. They use their unique abilities to incapacitate enemies and disorient them in battle.

  • The Ironclad Enclave, under the leadership of Grendak Bloodfist Warbringer, focuses on raw strength and martial prowess. They are skilled warriors and strategists, utilizing their imposing physicality and tactical knowledge to protect the Consortium's territories.

8. Player Character Benefits for Joining the Faction:

  • Joining the Ever-growing Consortium grants characters access to nature-based magic, enhanced connection with the Feywild, and the ability to communicate with animals and plants. They gain proficiency in wilderness survival, nature-based combat techniques, and the ability to tap into the raw magical energies of the natural world.

9. Proving Loyalty to the Faction:

  • Loyalty to the Ever-growing Consortium is proven through one's dedication to the preservation of nature, respect for the delicate balance of the Feywild, and unwavering commitment to defending Haven. Members must demonstrate their knowledge of nature, their ability to communicate and work harmoniously with the creatures of the wild, and their willingness to protect the lands of the Consortium.

10. Common Members in the Faction:

  • The Ever-growing Consortium consists of a diverse range of fey beings, treants, mystical creatures, and other inhabitants of the Feywild. Fey creatures such as pixies, satyrs, and dryads, along with treants and other sentient trees, form the core of their membership. They are joined by creatures associated with the natural world, including unicorns, centaurs, and various mythical beings who share a connection

to the realms of nature and magic.

Faction Perks (background replacer)

Rank 0: Aspirant:

  • Proficiencies: Aspirants gain proficiency in one skill related to their chosen area of expertise within the faction, such as Perception, Persuasion, or Medicine. They also gain proficiency in one type of artisan's tools or a gaming set.
  • Language: Aspirants learn one additional language commonly spoken in the regions where the Consortium operates, such as Sylvan or Druidic.

Everliving Fury: As a Aspirant, you possess the ability to call upon the forces of nature around you. Once per long rest, when trees are present, you can unleash the Everliving Fury. This ability raises 1d4 awakened trees around you (using the stat block of Living Tree found at. These trees cannot move and only last for 10 minutes. This powerful display of nature's might can turn the tide in your favor.

Rank 1: Treeguard:

  • Marked: As a ranking member in this faction, your person is implanted with a marking that allows other awakened plants and trees to sense your presence. They are inherently friendly towards you unless otherwise stated. This connection to the forest grants you a sense of support and the assurance that nature will come to your defense when needed (subject to the Game Master's discretion).

  • Proficiencies: the treeguard gain proficiency in one additional type of artisan's tools or gaming set and 1 expertise in either Medicine, Perception, or Persuasion.

  • Versatile Operative: As a Treeguard, you possess the ability to adapt to various situations. Once per short rest, you can choose one of the following benefits equal to your proficiency bonus: advantage on a skill check, advantage on a saving throw, or a bonus to damage on your next attack. This versatility allows you to navigate challenges and overcome obstacles with finesse.
