Cloak of Lightstep

Armor (a cloak or light armor) legendary (requires attunement)

Purity of Soul

This cloak was created when the ultimate forces of light and dark combined. The wearer of this armor must be chosen because of their potential to be good, rather than actually being it. The cloak has no impact on the psyche of the wearer.

Step of Shadows

When attuned to this armor's dark side, the wearer gains the following benefits.

  • This cloak's armor class is equal to 14 + your dexterity modifier.
  • The wearer of this cloak can cast shadow blade at 2nd level once per short rest.
  • The wearer of this cloak has Protection From Evil And Good cast on them at all times, but it only affects creatures with an evil alignment and does not affect creatures with legendary actions.

Step of Light

When attuned to this armor's light side, the wearer gains the following benefits.

  • The wearer of this cloak gains the light cantrip.
  • The wearer of this cloak can cast misty step at 2nd level once per short rest.
  • The wearer of this cloak has Protection From Evil And Good cast on them at all times, but it only affects creatures with a good alignment and does not affect creatures with legendary actions.

Step of Unity

When attuned to both sides of this armor, the wearer gains the following benefits including all the ones for each side individually.

  • The wearer of this cloak does not invoke opportunity attacks.
  • The wearer of this cloak has Protection From Evil And Good cast on them at all times, and it affects creatures with any alignment but does not affect creatures with legendary actions.
  • The cloak has an ability that can be used once per long rest and lasts for 1 minute. During this minute, the wearer's movement speed is doubled and the wearer can teleport as movement, this teleportation functions exactly the same as movement but can teleport a full distance in the air and in water and allows movement through obstacles and rough terrain, however you must be able to see where you are moving.
