Roguish Archetype

Con Artist

Liars and cheats, Con Artists are masters of deception. They tend to have some mild illusion magic but mostly rely on their charming smile and quick hands to get what they want.

Trickster

3rd-level Con Artist feature

You gain proficiency in Dice sets, Dragonchess sets, Playing card sets, and Three-Dragon Ante sets. Your proficiency bonus is doubled when making a check with these skills.

You can choose two skills from the following list that you already have proficiency in and you gain expertise in these skills: Deception, Intimidation, Performance, Persuasion, or Sleight of Hand.

Illusory Tricks

3rd-level Con Artist feature

You can cast the minor illusion, mage hand, and message cantrips and Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it. When you cast mage hand, you can choose to make the hand invisible.

You gain proficiency in charisma saving throws.

Watch the Hands

9th-level Con Artist feature

If you were the last target from any creatures action in the prior round of combat you can use your bonus action to distract them. They have disadvantage on trying to attack you until the start of your next turn, and as long as you do not have disadvantage on the attack, you can count any attacks you make this turn as viable for sneak attack against that creature.

Can't See This

13th-level Con Artist feature

You can cast shadow blade for free without expending any spell slots once per long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it.

You can use an action and a deck of playing cards to throw them at nearby candles and lightbulbs, snuffing out the sources of light.

A number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus you can use an action to create a magical darkness for a 30 foot sphere. If you have darkvision, you can see through this magical darkness as if it were regular darkness, however others cannot.

You also gain proficiency in constitution saving throws.

Lightning Trickery

17th-level Con Artist feature

You master trickery, you can even hide your blade in plain sight. You have advantage on charisma and sleight of hand checks to trick someone.

You can add your charisma modifier to damage dealt with any weapon.

You can also add your charisma modifier to sleight of hand checks, and your dexterity modifier to deception checks.
