Martial Archetype: Plane Walker

Bonus Proficiencies

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you are already proficient in the skill, you add double your proficiency bonus to checks you make with it.

Plane Walk

Beginning at 7th level, you learn to step through the Planes. As a bonus action on your turn, you can cast the Etherealness or Plane Shift spells, only targeting yourself and ignoring material components. You can cast either of these spells in this way a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus.

Planar Infusion

Additionally, at 7th level you can infuse the power of the different planes into your strikes. Your attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Advanced Plane Walker

Beginning at 15th level, you have adapted to the different planes. At the end of a long rest you can choose to gain one resistance to any damage type and your attacks deal an additional damage die of your weapon of the same type. Furthermore, you can discern from which plane a creature is from if you spend at least one minute studying it.

Plane Rider

At 18th level, you become a master Plane Walker: a Plane Rider. As a Plane Rider you have unlimited use of your Plane Walk feature and can target an additional amount of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus.
