Half Breed

Grey Elves earn their moniker from their half elf- half drow ancestory, combining the light and dark skin tones of the elves. Their mixed ancestory has left them with the worst of the drow and only some of the benefits of being an elf. Through this tough life, they've developed into skilled warriors and nimble fighters, trained in more broad nimble combat instead of specific weapons.

Striking from the shadows of the night, grey elves personify the deadliness and talents of both elves and drow.

Grey Elf Traits

All Grey Elves share the following traits.

Age. Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old.

Size. Grey Elves range from under 5 to over 6 feet tall and have slender builds. Your size is Medium.

Speed. You have a walking speed of 30 feet.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.

Improved Darkvision. From your Elven and Drow ancestory, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 90 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Mystical Fey Ancestry. You have advantage on saving throws against magic, and magic can't put you to sleep.

Adapted Shadows. When in dim light or darkness, or at night provided you're not in bright light, you gain the following benefits.

  • Your speed increases by 10 feet.
  • When you use the dash action, difficult terrain doesn't cost you extra movement on that turn.
  • When you make a melee attack against a creature, you don't provoke opportunity attacks from that creature for the rest of the turn, whether you hit or not.

Sunlight Sensitivity. You have disadvantage on attack rolls and Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of the attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Elven.
