Artemyra Clan
"People. Birds. Buildings crowded into ravines. This is the Artemyra Clan" I said as I step foot on the ravenous canyon, home of the Artemyra Clan. My eyes opened in amazement to the scene I witnessed.
—Sinbad

Avian Master: Starting at 1st level, you have an eagle companion raised and bred by the Artemyra clan known as an Eagle-Nin. Your Eagle-Nin possess the same statistics as a Hawk/Predatory Bird summon from the summoning technique, and follows the same progression, gaining the features traits jutsu, skills, ASIs, etc. Eagles from the Artemyra Clan are far more capable in assisting their riders and masters. Your Eagle-Nin shares your level and is proficient in all saving throws. Additionally, each time your Eagle-Nin gains a level, their hit point maximum is increased by half of your proficiency bonus. When you would gain an ability score improvement in a class, your Eagle-Nin increases one of their ability scores by +2, or two scores by +1.
Your Eagle-Nin gains a bonus to their AC equal to their Wisdom Modifier. Features and Ability score increases your Eagle-Nin gains cannot be changed. Your Eagle-Nin gains additional Jutsu Slots equal to your Proficiency Bonus. They regain all spent slots on a long rest, and half of their spent slots on a short rest. If your Eagle-Nin spends all of its Jutsu Slots, it does not vanish or become unsummoned like a normal summoned creature. Finally, your Eagle-Nin is specifically trained in a style of combat and only rased by the Artemyra. All Eagle-Nins are trained in the art of mounted combat. However, each Eagle-Nin typically have a specialty. Choose between one of the following training styles as an additional role, for your eagle in addition to the Role they have from the Hawk/Predatory Bird Tribe page;
- Mount Training: Majority of Eagle-Nin are trained to be specialized mounts. All Eagle-Nin are trained to carry their riders into battle. However, this specific Training focuses on mounted combat at an early age. Your Eagle-Nin counts as being two sizes larger for the purpose of acting as a mount and for determining creatures that can ride it. Additionally, while you are utilizing your Eagle-Nin as a mount and you would be forced off of it or you are falling, your Eagle-Nin can spend 1 Jutsu slot and their reaction to immediately move up to its speed. If it passes underneath you, while using this movement, you can immediately remount it (no action required). Beginning at 7th level, your Eagle-Nin's AC increases by +2.
- Scout Training: Few Eagle-Nin are trained to be scouts, hunters, and trackers. These specialized Eagle-Nin become proficient in Survival and Stealth and expertise in Perception. Additionally, as long as your Eagle-Nin is within 1 mile of you, it can spend 1 Jutsu Slot to allow you to see through its eyes for up to 1 hour. Your Eagle-Nin can resume or end this vision as a free action as long as the 1 hour has not expired. Starting at 7th level, your Eagle-Nin gains a +2 bonus to Wisdom (Survival) checks to track a creature.
- Zephyr Training Some Eagle-Nins are trained in manipulating the sky and Wind Nature Chakra. Your Eagle-Nin becomes Proficient in Illusions and Ninshou and gains expertise in Chakra Control. Your Eagle-Nin gains 2 two D-Rank Summon Features. Beginning at 7th level, your Eagle-Nin's movement speed is increased by 10 feet for each jutsu they are concentrating on.
In the event, you are incapacitated or absent, your companion acts on their own based on how you've commanded them before. They consider your allies, its allies, and will follow them until you cross paths again. If your Eagle-Nin is alone, they will perform perception or investigation checks to find you. If your Eagle-Nin dies, you can spend 1 week of downtime with your clan training another Eagle-Nin.
Starting at 11th level, you and your Eagle-Nin have bonded in such a way where there is no need to verbally communicate. It continues to act on your turn as normal, but no longer requires a bonus action to command.
Artemyran Bravery Your Artemyran courage and pride is unshakeable. You gain a +1d6 bonus on saving throws against harmful effects that cause either the Frightened or Charmed Conditions. Starting at 7th level, you can use this feature against Wisdom Saving Throws, except you may only use this feature on Wisdom saves a number of times equal to half of your Proficiency Bonus (Rounded Down). You regain any expended uses after finishing a long rest. Finally, at 15th level, you no longer spend uses of this feature.
Sky Commander: Your mastery over the skies and training with your Eagle-Nin has improved into special combat styles. Starting at 7th level, You know two of these styles. You gain an additional style at 11th and 18th levels.
- Evasive Maneuvers: You and your Eagle-Nin have mastered nonbody communication, improving your reflexes. When you or your Eagle-Nin are subjected to an effect, that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on a saving throw, and only half damage if you fail. You and your Eagle-Nin must be within 10 feet of each other to activate this Combat Style.
- Mounted Mastery: You and your Eagle-Nin are of one body. Whenever your Eagle-Nin takes the Dodge or Disengage actions, while you are mounted, you are also considered under the same effects.
- One Mind: You and your Eagle-Nin's Minds are linked. While your Eagle-Nin remains within 1 Mile of you, you can speak to each other telepathically. At 11th level this distance becomes 5 Miles and at 18th level this becomes 10 Miles.
- Shared Soul: You and your Eagle-Nin are of one soul. Whenever you or your Eagle-Nin gains the benefits of a Jutsu, Feature, or Trait you both gain the benefits of the effect. If the benefit lasts for longer than 1 round, decrease the duration of the effect by half.
- Sky Surfing: You and your Eagle-Nin are one in movement. You do not have to ride on top of your Eagle-Nin, but can ride on its side. While, you are riding on it's side you are counted as if you have 3/4ths cover. Additionally, you have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks to hide.
Unmountable: You have mastered the art of riding your Eagle-Nin. Starting at 15th level, while you are mounted on your Eagle-Nin, you cannot be forced off your mount against your will.
Inspiration
The Artemyra Clan is based on the Kingdom of the Same name from the Magi Series. To build this clan I took heavy inspirations from the Inuzuka Clan built by King. As Giant Eagles are essential to their Kingdom. If you have any suggestions to further improve this clan or to make the clan more unique, please DM me on Discord: Yue Yukino#6959
