Ranger Archetype - Ooze-Eater
Misunderstood an reviled, ooze-eater rangers seek to become closer to their primordial roots. These rangers often believe that all life originated from a "great ooze" and all creatures are the countless individuals fragments of this ooze. They consume vast amounts of any ooze-like creature in order to ascend and return to the simple thrill of the hunt, unclouded by emotion and reason. Many of these rangers find themselves in service to the demon lord, Jubilex. Others willingly allow themselves to oblexs, reveling in their new forms.

Gelatinous Hunter
At 3rd level, you have consumed enough ooze that your flesh has softened, aiding you in devouring your prey. You gain the following benefits:
- You can calculate your armor class as 10 + your Wisdom modifier plus your Constitution modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.
- You can use Constitution, instead of Strength when you make an athletics check.
- Your unarmed strikes deal 1d8 + your strength modifier acid damage, and you can use your constitution modifier for the attack and damage rolls, instead of strength.
- When you take the attack action and make an unarmed strike, or grapple or shove an enemy, you can make an unarmed strike as a bonus action.
Cave Creeper
At 3rd level, your jelly-like form allows for increased mobility. our body, along with any equipment you are wearing or carrying, becomes fluid and pliable. You can move through any space as narrow as 1 inch without squeezing.
Digestive Resilience
At 7th level, your primordial hunger allows you to shrug off blows. You gain resistance to acid damage, and whenever a creature starts it's turn grappled by you, it takes 1d8 acid damage. Additionally, whenever you take damage you can use your reaction to reduce that damage by 1d8 + your Wisdom modifier. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all uses when you finish a long rest.
Creeping Hunger
At 11th level, your hunger grows as your humanity retreats. You gain the following benefits:
- Your unarmed strikes now deal 2d6 damage.
- Whenever a creature starts its turn grappled by you, you gain temporary hitpoints equal to the acid damage dealt.
- As an action, you can grow to large size. This lasts until you use a bonus action to return to normal. While enlarged in this way, your body is brightly coloured and translucent.
Engulf
At 15th level, you can absorb foes into your very being. When you grapple a creature your size or smaller, you can choose to engulf it, bringing it into your body. You don't need to have a free hand to grapple in this way. While engulfed, the creature is restrained, occupies your space and takes an additional 2d8 acid damage at the start of it's turns. You can only have one creature engulfed at a time. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a long rest.
