How to befriend an Equinox Dragon

These small dragons have adapted so well with nature that their powers, personality, and even anatomy changes seasonally. Because of this, they prefer to live in temperate climates where the weather will always suit them-- even as seasons change. As their mood changes with the season, so too do their obsessions.

During the fall, they often spend their days seeking out a variety of food, engorging themselves on rare treats. All new food is good food-- at least the first time. An adventurer who offers them a hot meal will have a steadfast friend, at a tax to their daily rations.

Winter brings a sense of mysticism to them, and they are drawn to the mysterious. They're known to pester spellcasters during this time, endlessly seeking the entertainment of a prestidigitation or illusion. Even mundane magic tricks will fascinate them.

During the spring, they love to swim in the quickly warming waters, which is thought to help turn their wings green again. If one is not near a river or stream, a quick bath in a large bowl is enough to sate their thirst.

With their wings lusciously green again, they love to bathe in the summer sun, longing for it well into the hours of the night. One may offer them comfort with torches & magical sources of lights.
