Dhampir
Dhampirs are a peculiar group of humanoids that tread between the boundaries of life and death. The origins of the dhampir often vary between the realms and even in some cases each individual. Some dhampirs are the result of a curse or otherworldly pact with powerful gods or demons. Others can trace their ancestry to a lineage full of powerful liches or vampires, whose necromantic power begins to manifest within the individual. However regardless of the source of their strange power, the dhampir are always be characterized by their insatiable hunger for the blood of the living.
Vampiric Servants
Because of their predatory hunger for blood, many dhampir often find themselves in association with vampires, who naturally prey on the living. Oftentimes, dhampir are created by humanoids that enter into blood pacts with these powerful undead while others may undergo this transformation against their will whenever they are slain by a vampire. As a result, many of these dhampir serve as agents of their vampiric overlords, to further their master’s goals during the day. Although these dhampir have been known to take numerous roles, many are able to utilize their newfound abilities to serve as assassins, using the cover of darkness to swiftly eliminate the threat as well as sate their appetite for blood.
