Emissary of Ravens

Emissary of Ravens

Everyone makes the same mistake, they think that I tamed the ravens, that I found them in the wilderness and brought them back with me. This couldn't be futher from the truth. It was they that found me, tamed me, saved me. Now I have returned: their emissary.

Roguish Archetype

Emissaries of ravens are rogues who have learnt to summon and control crows or ravens to great effect. They can be servants of the raven queen, novices in druidic magic or just people who are good at training birds.

Feathered Friend

At 3rd level, you have learnt to summon a crow to your aid. You may cast the Find Familiar spell without consuming a spell slot or material components. When you cast this spell this way, the casting time is reduced to 1 minute for you but the only form your familiar can take is that of a corvid, such as a crow or raven, this form uses the Crow Companion statblock (shown below). The statblock uses your Proficiency Bonus (PB) and Rogue level in several places, but all other familiar rules apply to it. Wisdom is your spellcasting modifier for this spell.

You can use this feature to summon your companion a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, after which you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Sharp of Beak

Also at 3rd level, as a bonus action on your turn you may command your crow companion to take the attack action. If the attack hits, it deals a number of d6s of additional necrotic damage equal to half the number of Sneak Attack dice for your level (rounded up).

You can command your companion to attack this way a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, after which you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Birds of a Feather

At 9th level, whenever you use your Feathered Friend feature to summon your crow companion, you can summon two of these familiars instead of just one. Each familiar appears in a different unoccupied space within range when you do so, and they both act independently on their own shared initiative. You can only see through one of these two familiars eyes at a time, can only command one familiar to attack at a time using your Sharp Beak feature and can only dismiss one familiar at a time.

Storm of Crows

At 13th level, you can fly like a bird. Whenever you take the dash action on your turn, you can cause spectral black wings to sprout from your back, giving you a flying speed equal to your walking speed for the duration of your dash.

Additionally, you can communicate telepathically with your crow companions and perceive through their senses as long as you are on the same plane of existence.

Champion of the Raven Queen by Marcela Madeiros

Champion of Ravens

At 17th level, you become a true champion of ravens. Whenever you use your Sharp of Beak feature to command one of your crow companions to attack, you can command both familiars to attack the same target instead.

Additional, as a bonus action, you can teleport, magically swapping places with one of your raven familiars, regardless of the distance between the two of you.
