Focused Mind. The Heritage Arcanist has advantage on saving throws it makes to keep concentration on spells.

Innate Magic Armor. At the beginning of every new day, the Heritage Arcanist's tattoos gleam with magical power, giving him the effect of the Mage Armor spell. This effect lasts until it is dispelled by the effect of a Dispel Magic spell or similar effect, and becomes active again the next dawn.

Magic Resistance. The Heritage Arcanist has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Magical Inheritance. Heritage Arcanist has inherited the secret of innate magic from its ancestors, and this secret art is represented by the tattoos on its body. Due to this, it has the ability to cast spells innately, add its Charisma modifier to its cantrips' damage, and perform two special rituals to enhance its magical prowess: the Ritual of Knowledge and the Ritual of Resistance.

Ritual of Knowledge. Through this ritual, the Heritage Arcanist is able to forcefully learn new spells from a living spellcaster. The ritual takes 1 hour, during which the Arcanist has to chant incessantly, and requires a Mind Flayer's brain as a material component. The ritual fails if it is interrupted, if the Arcanist stops chanting, or if the spellcaster is brought back to life. If the ritual is completed successfully, a new tattoo symbol appears on the Heritage Arcanist's body, and it learns up to three spells that the spellcaster knew in life, all of which must be of 5th level or lower. Spells learned by this trait can be cast innately, requiring no material components, once a day each. A creature can only be subjected to this ritual once, and dies when its completed.

Ritual of Resistance. Through this ritual, the Heritage Arcanist is able to forcefully inherit resistances from a living creature. The ritual takes 1 hour, during which the Arcanist has to chant incessantly, and requires a Beholder's eye as a material component. The ritual fails if it is interrupted, or if the Arcanist stops chanting. If the ritual is completed successfully, a new tattoo symbol appears on the Heritage Arcanist's body, and it gains one damage resistance and one condition immunity the creature had in life. A creature can only be subjected to this ritual once, and dies when its completed.

Opportunist Caster. The Heritage Arcanist can choose to cast a cantrip or spell against a creature that triggers its attack of opportunity.

Innate Spellcasting. The Heritage Arcanist's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 16, +8 to hit with spell attacks). It can cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: Shocking Grasp, Eldritch Blast (at 11th level)

3/day each: Disguise Self, Inflict Wounds, Shield
2/day each: *Blur, Locate Creature, Magic Circle 1/day each: Magic Circle, Cone of Cold, Mind Blank

It also knows 3 other spells (or more), which it has acquired with its Ritual of Knowledge.

Actions

Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage.
