Orc

Orcs in Endorrain are not the same as they might be in other realms. Rage and bloodlust does not define them like they might elsewhere. Orcs do believe in the strength of power and that combat is usually the best way to determine a victor: but it’s always done out of respect for their opponent. To die in combat, facing your opponent head-on, is considered a most honorable death in orcish culture. To run from a fight is considered cowardly and dishonorable.

Orcs tend to live in tightly knit communities known as tribes. Each singular tribe has a chieftain - typically they are the most powerful in strength which is how they earned their place. Tribes also usually have a shaman they refer to for information and help to determine things like the weather or put their people to rest when they die. Orcs are most easily found in the region of Mu'uthesh, but have also been found in the Echoing Mountains and Shifting Cinders as well. A majority of the orcs in Mu'uthesh live alongside the mighty centaurs. Some orcs travel across the badlands and prairies like nomads, following the great herds of bison and aurochs as they go. Others have settled together to make one massive tribe - like that Gromach has become.

Strong and Powerful

Orcs are usually larger in size, with powerful muscles and sloping foreheads. Their skin tones range from shades of green, to soft blues and purples, to darker grays. They tend to have small, pointed ears and coarse hair. One of the key features for an orc are the "tusk" that tend to jut out from their lower jaw. These are actually enlarged lower canine teeth. It's not uncommon to find orcs covered in scars, which they show off proudly.

Due to their love of fighting and surviving, it is common to find orcs covered in scars. These are proudly worn and displayed for all to see. Orcs with particularly noticeable scars will share their stories at campfires to other members in their tribe.

Orc Names

Names in their language are often short and guttural sounding. Some orcs may change their names to more human-sounding ones depending on the culture in which they've been raised.
