Champion of Kostchtchie

Champions of Kostchtchie are individuals who have blessed with the power of the demon lord Kostchtchie. Kostchtchie is a powerful demon who lords over the Iron Wastes of the Abyss and is worshipped by many giants as well as giantkin, particularly those who have abandoned their gods. Any giantkin who pledge their devotion to him are granted a powerful boon, granting them the might of their titanic ancestors long with the demonic power of the Abyss, transforming the subject into a demonic hulk.

Test of Worth

Unlike many other demon lords, Kostchtchie is quite selective to whom he grants his power; as he believes that only true giants or giantkin are worthy of his power. As a result, he will only give this power to giantkin humanoids such as trolls, goliaths, or firbolgs, only if they have forsaken the gods of giants. However, mere devotion is not enough. Since Kostchtchie embodies the concepts of savagery and bloodlust, those who seek his favor must perform gruesome acts of violence and destruction to earn this power.

Savage Champions

Once granted their new power, these champions undergo numerous demonic mutations. Their size and strength nearly double, causing them to rival the power of a true giant. In their new form, the newly appointed champion seems to resemble a strange hybrid of all giants within the Ordening along with typical demonic traits such as claws, jagged teeth, and hardened skin. Their very presence also exudes an aura of brutality and rage that empowers any chosen giantkin within range. These champions live for combat and relish in brutally crushing their opponents with their might.

Champion of Kostchtchie Goals

Those blessed with the power of Kostchtchie are driven by an insatiable desire to brutally conquer all that stand in their way. For these demons, simple victory is not sufficient as they must kill every enemy as viciously as possible. While on the Material Plane, these champions ultimately seek to summon their demonic master to truly bring the world to its knees. However, since such a task requires a lot of power and preparation, they seek to expand their influence by purging all that they deem to be weak and appointing those who are worthy as new champions of Kostchtchie.

Battle Tactics

In combat, the champion of Kostchtchie is an unstoppable force of brutality and violence. Their demonic strength allows them to crush their foes with ease using their colossal mauls. Thanks to their titanic might and incredible endurance, these demons will not hesitate to charge into the fray. Although they are known to kill indiscriminately, they take special pleasure in defeating powerful foes and will often single out those that it deems to be a worthy opponent.

However, despite their individual might, these demons are even deadlier when in a group due to their ability to imbue their allies with the bloodlust of Kostchtchie himself. This demonic power not only increases the ferocity of the attacks from its allies but also infuses their weapons with Abyssal frost. Because of this ability, it is imperative that adventurers prioritize striking down the champion first, despite its imposing might.

Blessing of Kostchtchie The Champion of Kostchtchie can grant demonic power to any giants or giantkin of its choice within 30ft. of it. Affected creatures in range can deal a critical hit on a 18-20 and deals an additional 13(3d8) cold damage on their next damage roll with a weapon once on each of its turns.

Bloodlust When the Champion of Kostchtchie takes the Attack action against a creature below half its hitpoint maximum, it can make an additional attack with its Titan Maul

Brutal When the Champion of Kostchtchie can deal a critical hit on a 18-20. deals a critical hit, it can triple the damage die instead of doubling it.

Magic Resistance The Champion of Kostchtchie has advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects

Reckless The Champion of Kostchtchie can grant itself advantage on attacks until the end of its next turn. However, attacks against the Champion of Kostchtchie until the start of its next turn.

Relentless When the Champion of Kostchtchie is reduced to 0 hitpoints, it can make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw. On a successful saving throw, it drops to 1 hitpoint instead. Upon each success, the DC increases by 5. This DC resets after a short or long rest.

Siege Monster The Champion of the Kostchtchie can deal double damage to buildings and objects

Titanic Strength The Champion of Kostchtchie has advantage on Strength ability checks and saving throws against Medium and smaller creatures.

Multiattack. The Champion of Kostchtchie can make two attacks with its Titan Maul

Titan Maul Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, 10ft., one target. Hit: 19(4d6+5) bludgeoning damage. If this attack has advantage, it deals 27(4d10+5) bludgeoning damage instead.

Boulder Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, 120ft., one target. Hit: 31(4d12+5) bludgeoning damage. On a hit, the target and creatures within 10ft. of it takes 18 (4d8) cold damage as well.

Bonus Actions

Aggressive The Champion of Kostchtchie can use its bonus action to move up to half its movement speed towards a hostile creature it can see within range.

Reactions

Rampage When the Champion of Kostchtchie deals a critical hit or reduces a creature to 0 hitpoints, it can move up to half its movement speed and make a weapon attack against a creature within range.

Retaliation When a creature hits the Champion of Kostchtchie with a melee attack while within 10ft. of it, it can use its reaction to make an attack with its Titan Maul.
