Assassin Archetype revised
\pagebreak
## Assassin Archetype You focus your training on the grim art of murder. Those who adhere to this archetype are diverse: hired killers, spies, bounty hunters, and even specially anointed priests trained to exterminate the enemies of their deity. Stealth, subterfuge, and lethal technique help you eliminate your foes with deadly efficiency. ### Infiltration Expertise At 3rd level, you are an expert at posing as someone else to aid your infiltrations. While in a disguise created using a Disguise Kit, you have Advantage on any Charisma (Deception) check you make while pretending to be someone else. You can also unerringly mimic another person’s speech, handwriting, or both if you have spent at least one hour studying each one. ### Assassinate Additionally at 3rd level, When you roll initiative, pick a target. That target is now your assassination target for the rest of this combat or until it dies. You can't pick more than one assassination target per combat encounter. Assassinate causes the target to take extra damage of the weapon's type equal to your rogue level. You can assassinate your assassination target when any attack rolls you hit with triggers sneak attack against them, and has a difference equal to or more than your proficiency bonus compared to their AC. Assassinate also triggers when you land a critical hit on your assassination target. When you assassinate your target, you are no longer hidden at the end of your turn. ### Hidden One Stealth is not just a matter of using the shadows or magic, true stealth lies in avoiding line of sight. At 9th level, whilst flanking a hostile creature you can attempt to hide from it. Hiding in this way only makes you hidden to that particular creature until you make an attack roll or are attacked yourself. Additionally, you can remain hidden whilst moving from hiding spot to hiding spot, even if you are not obscured during your movement. ### Never go down easy Beginning at 13th level, you can strike whilst parrying the force of your enemies' blows. When you use the uncanny dodge reaction, you can make a melee weapon attack roll against the attacking creature with your offhand as part of that reaction. This attack can qualify for assassinate even if the attacking creature is not your assassination target. You must have a light weapon in your offhand at the time of this reaction in order to use this feature. \columnbreak ### Death Strike At 17th level, you master the art of killing or crippling enemies. You can double the attack's damage against your assassination target when you do one of the following: - When you hit with an weapon attack roll from a height of 15ft or greater. - When you make an attack roll with advantage and both rolls qualify for assassinate. You can only use this feature once per combat encounter.
