Monk: Way of the Cosmos

A monk who follows the way of the cosmos seek to align their spirit with celestial bodies, and by using ki they are able to bend the forces of the cosmos to their will. Monks of the Way of the Cosmos tend to strive for reaching one with the universe within the state of "Infinity".

Galactic Guard

At 3rd level, your manipulation of cosmic energy allows you to have a greater grasp over your use of internal ki. You gain the following benefits.

Reduced Gravity. When you use your Step of the Wind feature, you float several inches above the ground until the end of your turn, allowing you to ignore difficult terrain. In addition, your jump distance is tripled rather than doubled.

Asteroid Belt. When you use your Flurry of Blows feature, cosmic ki materializes around you, spinning rapidly. Each creature within 5 feet of you takes 1d4 force damage. This force damage increases to 1d6 at 6th level, 1d8 at 11th level, and 1d10 at 17th level.

Cosmic Cover. When you use your Patient Defense feature, all damage you receive until the beginning of your next turn is reduced by your Wisdom modifier.

Star Strikes

At 3rd level, you can use your connection to the cosmos to channel celestial energy into your most powerful strikes. Upon scoring a critical hit, you may choose one of the following effects.

Red. A flash of heat comes from your attack and the target must make a Constitution saving throw against your ki save DC or take fire damage equal to your monk level and gain a level of exhaustion.

Blue. A burst of cold comes from your attack and the target must make an Intelligence saving throw against your ki save DC or take cold damage equal to your monk level and become restrained until the end of the target's next turn as their body is encased in ice.

Fold Reality

At 6th level, you gain the ability to fold the universe and walk through brief lapses in space. You are now able to teleport any distance that you can see within your speed by expending movement equal to the distance traveled.

In addition, upon taking damage you can use your reaction to teleport a distance equal to your movement speed. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all uses of this feature upon finishing a short or long rest.

Heavenly Harbringer

At 11th level, your grasp over cosmic energy has strengthened. You gain the following benefits.

Gravity Control. When you use your Step of the Wind feature, you gain a flight speed equal to your walk speed until the end of your turn.

Cosmic Comets. When you use your Flurry of Blows feature, your cosmic ki materializes into a number of concentrated comets equal to your proficiency bonus. You can then use the comets, sending them streaking toward a point or points you choose within 60 feet of you. Any creature on the point where the comet explodes must make a Dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC. A creature takes 1d8 force damage on a failed save. This damage increases to 1d10 at level 17.

Shield of Space. When you use your Patient Defense feature, you can't be blinded, deafened, frightened, paralyzed, poisoned, restrained, or stunned, and any critical hit against you counts as a normal hit instead until the beginning of your next turn.

Incarnation of the Infinite

At 17th level, you complete your connection to the universe. You no longer need to breathe, and you do not age. As an action, you can conjure universal energy within yourself, entering the state of Infinity for 10 minutes. This state ends early if you are incapacitated, die, or choose to end it (no action required). Once you enter Infinity, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

When in Infinity, you gain the following benefits.

Armor of the Void. You gain a number of temporary hit points equal to three times your monk level. While you have these hit points, you have a +2 bonus to AC and whenever a creature within 10 feet of you hits you with an attack, the void bursts out at them, dealing 2d10 magical bludgeoning damage which ignores resistance to bludgeoning damage.

Energy Eruption. If you are not at your maximum number of ki points, you regain 1 ki point at the beginning of your turn.

Cosmic Barrage. Whenever you use the Extra Attack feature to attack twice, you can instead attack three times.
