Cleric Domains
Winter Domain
The Domain of Winter is a part of the overall Domain of Nature, like a Quasi-Domain if anything. The changing of the season comes with cold frigid winds, the power of frigid snowstorms and hungering avalanches. Parts of the ideals of Winter share similarities with the dichotomy of death and desolation, or the necessary clash with rebirth and restoration that would come with Spring. Some examples of Deities who command the Domain of Winter are Auril the Frostmaiden, Thrym the Frost Titan,

Winter's Protection
1st-Level Winter Domain Cleric feature
You can temporarily conjure barriers of ice and snow to protect you from harm. When a creature within 5 feet of you that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to conjure an ice barrier that blocks the blow. Roll 1d8 + your Proficiency Bonus, and you gain Damage Reduction equal to the result against all damage except fire & psychic, until the end of your next turn.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Additionally, you don't suffer the effects of extreme cold, as described in the Dungeon Master's Guide.
Channel Divinity: Winter's Wrath
2nd-Level Winter Domain Cleric feature
You can use your Channel Divinity to conjure a powerful blizzard. As an action, you present your holy symbol, and a storm of ice emerges from you. Each creature of your choice within 15 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature takes 3d10 + your cleric level on a failed saving throw and becomes Frozened. On a successful save a creature takes half as much damage and isn't frozened. A creature that has total cover from you is not affected.
Ice-Biting Protection
6th-Level Winter Domain Cleric feature
When you use your Winter's Protection feature, any creature that hits you with a melee attack within 5 feet of you also takes your Proficiency Bonus in cold damage.
Glacial Strike
8th-Level Winter Domain Cleric
You gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 cold damage to the target. When you reach 14th-level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Winter Soul
17th-Level Winter Domain Cleric
Your faith in your deity has given you greater control over snow and ice. You gain the following benefits:
- You gain immunity to cold damage.
- You ignore difficult terrain made of ice and snow.
- Whenever you deal cold damage, it ignores resistance to cold damage.
