Ability Score Improvement

When you reach 21st level, and again at 25th and 29th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. Contrary to earlier levels, you can now improve your ability scores up to 24 using this feature.

Master Explorer

Beginning at 21st level, while in your favored terrain, your group cannot become lost, even by magical means, and your entire group may move stealthily at a normal pace. Upon reaching 25th level, you may choose another favored terrain, and you have advantage with Insight, Investigation, Nature and Survival checks while in any favored terrain of yours.

If you have chosen other optional features, you instead choose two skills and gain proficiency in the chosen skill. At 25th level, your walking speed increases by 10, and you instead gain a number of temporary hit points equal to 3d8 + your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1 temporary hit point)

Spellcasting

Through extended exposure to the arcane, your magic now begins developing rapidly. Your Spellcasting feature extends the Spellcasting feature in the Ranger class, as shown in the Epic Ranger table. In addition, you may now prepare or learn your spells and cantrips from both the Ranger and Druid spell list, all of which count as Ranger spells.

Strider

No magic can reduce your speed below its maximum and no solid terrain is considered difficult terrain for you. You now have advantage in Dexterity (Stealth) checks. If you already have advantage, yo can add a bonus of 5 to your skill check.

Deadly Foe Slayer

Your Foe Slayer ability lets you add your Wisdom modifier to attack rolls and damage rolls simultaneously. At 29th level, your Foe Slayer feature is no longer limited to one attack each turn, and benefits to all attacks against favored enemies.

Hunter's Will

You learn the Hunter's Mark spell, and can cast Hunter's Mark without expending a spell slot. You can use this feature three times per long rest. At 26th level, you can use this feature four times per long rest.

When you cast Hunter's Mark, as part of the same bonus action you can remove the concentration requirement of it. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all uses spent on a short rest.

If you have chosen this feature instead of Favored Enemy as an optional feature, you can choose either the Favored Enemy or Favored Foe features, and gain all of its abilities.

Favored Enemy Improvement

You can choose an additional favored enemy. If you have chosen the Favored Foe optional feature, your extra damage increases to 1d12, and you no longer concentrate on it.

Ranger Archetype Feature

You gain a feature from your ranger archetype, detailed at the end of the class description or one from another source.

Marking Strike

You can attack three times whenever you take the Attack action on your turn against your favored enemy or a creature marked by you.

Page 2 | Ranger Archetype Features

Apex Predator

You have become widely known for slaying certain types of creatures. Your renown is so widespread, that your favored enemies are easily overcome with fear at the mere sight of you - something you take advantage of with vicious fervor.
You gain the following benefits which also apply to your beast companion if you have one.

Inescapable Terror. The first time a favored enemy is attacked by you, it must succeed a Wisdom saving throw against your ranger spell save DC or become frightened by you for a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.

Slayer’s Will. You have advantage on saving throws against spells cast by a favored enemy.

Steady Strikes. Your weapon attacks that target a favored enemy can’t be made with disadvantage.

Vicious Fervor. Once per round if you reduce a favored enemy to 0 hit points on your turn while it is frightened of you, roll a d6. On a roll of 4 or higher, you can take an additional turn in combat immediately after you end your current turn.
