Wolfen

TUNDRIR PANTED AS WHILE DODGING TO THE SIDE. He was meant for the cold, so having a furious amazonian tiefling swinging a burning axe at him was not his idea of a good time. Freezing breath wouldn't extinguish all that hellfire.

He needed to stop her, or at the very least slow her down, or she'll take them all out with her. Acting quickly, he ducked and weaved as she swung with wild abandon, before cutting off her hand, taking the axe and cursed gauntlet with it.

Four Peoples

The four races, collectively referred to a the wolfen, are in fact not related at all. Each race rose independently with different cultures and ideals.

Many take umbrage at just being casually lumped together as one race, but it really doesn't help that they all independently developed the same language either.

Winter Warriors

The adlets reside in the north, their white pelts helping blend them in with the local landscape in addition to protecting them from the cold weather.

While historically adlets have been a nomadic people, recent urban expansion has forced them to integrate into "civil" society.

Adlets possess the magical ability to gain the memories of creatures who they eat. This has lead to a religious practice where they consume the flesh of fallen tribe members to literally remember them by. This has caused issues with the recent integration into urban environments as most humanoids are disturbed by the idea of "ritual cannibalism."

Wayward Werewolves

Much like adlets, lukan are a nomadic people, whose territory has been taken over by civilization. Unlike the wolves of the north, most lukan have refused to integrate, holding their freedom and connection to nature above all. This leads them to frequent skirmishes with humans.

Not helping the issue is humans trying to hunt them down because they've mistaken them for werewolves. This frequently annoys them, because they at least wear pants.

The Origin of Democracy

Takula are a race of wolfen who stand out due to their brown coats spattered with black and white blotches. They reside in drier brushlands, where they create permanent settlements.

Curiously, even in this age of kings and feudal law, the takula take a different approach, where each member of their community has an equal say in decisions that affect them all.

Lupine Gardeners

Yagara are a bit of an oddity among the wolfen, due to their agrarian life style and diet. These lanky maned wolfen have an even closer tie to nature than their lukan cousins, more so with the plants as they cultivate fruit bearing plants in their territories.
