Barbarian:

Path of the Focused

Maybe a great wrong was done to you. Maybe a system needs to be brought down. Maybe someone killed your dog. Regardless of the source, something makes your blood boil, and it's going to pay.

Some people are born barbarians; some people are made barbaric by circumstance. Those walking the Path of the Focused seek to control their rage, turning their anger inwards; alloying rage with cold purpose.

Don’t just get mad, get even.

Focused Rage

At 3rd level, you've learned to keep your wits while entering a rage, devising maneuvers that are fueled by special dice called superiority dice.

Maneuvers: You learn two maneuvers of your choice from among those available to the Battle Master archetype in the Fighter class. Many maneuvers enhance an attack in some way. You can use only one maneuver per attack. You learn one additional maneuver of your choice at 6th, 10th, and 14th level. Each time you learn new maneuvers, you can also replace one maneuver you know with a different one.

Superiority Dice: You have one superiority die, which is a d6. You gain another superiority die at 10th and 14th Level. A superiority die is expended when you use it. You regain all of your expended superiority dice when you finish a short or long rest.

Saving Throws: Some of your maneuvers require your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver’s effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:

Maneuver Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus +

your Constitution modifier

Emotional Superiority

At 3rd level your drive gives you power. When you activate your rage you gain temporary superiority dice equal to your rage damage bonus, which disappear when you finish raging. A superiority die is expended when you use it.

At 10th level all of your superiority dice become d10s while raging. At 14th level they increases to d12s while raging.

Once-bitten

At 6th level you’ve internalized great wisdom: do not stand where someone can hit you. When a creature you can see or hear misses you with an attack, or you succeed in a dexterity or strength saving throw against them, you can use your reaction to immediately move up to 15 feet in any direction to avoid follow up attacks. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

Additionally, until the end of your next turn you may rush to close the gap; your movement speed increasing by 15 feet .

Steely-eyed

Mastering yourself through heavy drinking or meditation, you live and breath resolve. At 10th level you gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill and you may use your Constitution modifier instead of Charisma when determining the results of the roll. You may now also attempt to use this skill as a bonus action.

Additionally due to constant practice you may cast the Ceremony, Speak with Animals, and Detect Evil and Good spells as rituals, substituting drinks of your choice for the material components.

Generosity

By 14th level you always bring enough for everyone to share. Once per turn, when you take the attack action, you may move 10 feet and make an additional melee weapon attack as a part of that action. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If there is an ally within 5 feet of the additional attack provided by this feature, you may make this attack at advantage, because exposed backs are always more vulnerable.

Furthermore, if you enter combat with no superiority dice, you regain one superiority die.

Reasons to Rage

Sometimes its hard to figure out exactly what in life has made you so angry. Consider the following reasons when designing your character. You may choose any number of Reasons, or roll a d12 on the Reasons to Rage table.

Reasons to Rage

D12 Reasons

Reason
1 You've always hated bullies.
2 100% pure adrenaline fueled desperation.
3 Someone killed your dog.
4 Someone spat on your honor.
5 Someone spat in your drink.
6 Fuck that guy specifically.
7 Someone wants what's yours, and they can't have it.
8 The system is unjust, and you're going to break it.
9 You can't fail again. You won't fail again.
10 It's the only way they'll listen to you.
11 You're afraid. Very very afraid.
12 Someone threatened your loved ones.
