Sorcerer - Deathstained

Laughing in the face of death, these sorcerers stand defiant. They have been touched by the grave once, and don't plan on repeating the experience. They wield powers of life and death, granted from crawling back to the land of the living.

Deathstained Spells

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Deathstained Spells table. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an abjuration or necromancy spell from the cleric, sorcerer, or warlock list.

Disincarnate

Starting at 1st level, you are able to briefly become incorporeal when in danger. When you take bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage from a non-magical source, you can use your reaction to half the damage from that instance of damage.

You can do this a number of times equal to your Constitution Modifier, and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.

Panic Attack

At 6th level, you gain the ability to augment your evocations with fearful magic. When you damage a creature with a sorcerer spell, you can expend 1 Sorcery Point to force it to make a Wisdom Saving throw against your sorcerer Spell Save DC. On a failed save, the creature is frightened of you for 1 minute. You are only able to do this once per turn.

Phantom Dominion

Beginning at 14th level, you can abandon your own mortal coil in order to take another. You are able to cast dominate person, requiring no components, no concentration, and without expending a spell slot. When you cast it in this way, you fall unconscious for the duration of the spell.

Haunted Resurgence

At 18th level, death can't keep you down. Whenever you succeed on a Death Saving throw, you are immediately stabilized at 20 Hit Points.

Additionally, if you die, you return to life in 1d100 hours as if you had just finished a long rest, creating a new body if necessary within 1 mile of the location of your death.
