Entropy Blast

3rd level evocation

  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: 80 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (a drop of mercury and obsidian)
  • Duration: Instantaneous

You create a sphere of raw entropy and toss it to a point within range. Each creature within a 15 foot radius centered on that point must succeed on a Strength saving throw as a massive blackened void tears through creatures within its range, dealing 7d6 force damage, halved on success. If a creature takes damage from this spell, their speed is halved until the end of their next turn.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell with a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the radius of the spell increases by an additional 5 feet per spell level above 3rd.

Classes: Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard

Entropy Field

4th level transmutation (ritual)

  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: 120 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (two magnets wrapped in silver wire)
  • Duration: Instantaneous

You cause gravity to magnify and increase heavily in an 80 foot cube centered on a point within range. While within the cube, a creature’s jumping distance is halved, if a creature is flying within the cube at the start of each of their turns they must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone and immediately fall 30 feet, and if a creature attempts to get up from being prone they must first succeed on a Strength saving throw or fail to stand up.

Null Disk

evocation cantrip

  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: 30 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (an oval piece of obsidian)
  • Duration: Instantaneous or 1 hour, concentration

You channel entropic energies to form into blackened disks or spheres that you can throw at your enemies. Make a spell attack against a creature within range. On hit, the target takes 1d8 force damage and is surrounded by a shimmering entropic force for the next minute. If the creature takes force damage within the next minute, this energy disappears and the creature's speed is reduced by 20 feet until the end of their next turn.

Alternatively, you can throw the null disk to an unoccupied space that you can see within range and choose to concentrate on it. These null disks last for 1 hour and if a creature moves within 5 feet of the null disk they must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be affected by the null disk as if they were hit by the spell. When you reach higher levels, you can concentrate on as many null disks as you can throw.

At Higher Levels: This spell produces more null disks when you reach higher levels; 2 disks at 5th level, 3 disks at 11th, and 4 disks af 17th level. You can direct some or all of these disks at the same creature, different creatures, or as potential mines that you have to concentrate on.

Null Sphere

4th level evocation

  • Casting Time: 1 bonus action
  • Range: 60 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (a drop of mercury and obsidian)
  • Duration: 1 minute, concentration

You send out a sphere of blackened void that siphons away the energy of nearby creatures. Choose a point within range, where you summon a 5 foot diameter sphere of swirling void energy. If a creature collides with this sphere, they must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw. Upon failure, they take 4d6 force damage and their speed is reduced by 10 feet until the end of your next turn. Each time a creature fails their saving throw against the null sphere and takes damage, your walking speed increases by 10 feet until the end of the current turn.

As a bonus action on each turn thereafter of casting null sphere, you can move the sphere up to 30 feet in any direction. The sphere hovers in place, can pass through creatures when you move it, but it cannot pass through walls or objects.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell with a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the sphere deals 5d6 force damage, and when it is casted with a spell of 8th level or higher the spell deals 6d6 force damage.

Classes: Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard

Void Amplification

7th level transmutation

  • Casting Time: 1 reaction
  • Range: 60 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (a crystal vial filled with a mixture of your blood and crushed diamond worth 450gp which is consumed upon casting)
  • Duration: Instantaneous

When a creature you can see within range, including yourself, casts a spell that deals damage, you can draw upon the potential energy of your magic and body to amplify the spell with dangerous efficacy.

When you do so, you take necrotic damage equal to an amount of d8s equal to your total level which ignores resistances or immunities and cannot be reduced or mitigated in any way. Additionally if you amplify a spell of 3rd level, you immediately gain 1 level of exhaustion, if you amplify a spell of 5th level or higher you immediately gain 2 levels of exhaustion, if you amplify a spell of 7th level or higher you immediately gain 3 levels of exhaustion, and if you amplify a 9th level spell you immediately gain 4 levels of exhaustion.

When you amplify a spell, instead of rolling damage the spell's damage is maximized, creatures have disadvantage on their saving throws to resist the spell, the targeted creature has advantage on their spell attack roll if it has one, and the damage dealt by this spell bypasses resistances and immunities.

Classes: Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard

Void Imbuement

5th level transmutation

  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: Touch
  • Components: V, S, M (a drop of blackened silver worth 50gp which is consumed upon casting)
  • Duration: 1 minute

You coat a willing creature in void-like energy which borrows latent energy from the void and bolsters their kinetic and potential energy. For the duration you gain resistance to force damage, your speed increases by 10 feet, your jump distance is doubled, and at the start of each of your turns you gain temporary hit points equal to 2 times your spellcasting modifier.
