Geyser
2nd-level evocation
- Classes: Druid, Sorcerer, Wizard
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 30 feet
- Components: V, S
- Duration: Instantaneous
A geyser of boiling water erupts in a 5-foot radius, 20-foot high cylinder centered on a point you can see on the ground within range. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a target takes 1d8 fire damage and 1d8 bludgeoning damage, or half as much on a success.
Also on a failed save, a Large or larger target is knocked prone, and a Medium or smaller target is flung 20 feet into the air, landing the same distance away in a random direction. This landing can cause the target to take falling damage.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the spell's bludgeoning damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
