Anchor

At 3rd level, an anchor gains the Malefic Burden feature, which offers you the choice of a subclass. The following Eldritch Burden option is available to you when making that choice.

Eldritch Burden

You are burdened with a mysterious entity from beyond the known limits of reality, whose form and motives are inscrutable. While its power is beyond comprehension, its alien mind threatens to drive you into madness. Those burdened with the might of an eldritch entity often find themselves to be crazed and unhinged, as the spirit they hold warps their mind.

Awakened Mind

3rd-level Eldritch Burden feature

You gain the ability to telepathically speak to any creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. You don’t need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language. The creature can't telepathically reply to you, unless it has its own means of doing so.

Unearthly Presence

3rd-level Eldritch Burden feature

Your spirit's presence unsettles those around you. At the start of your turn while your spirit is unshackled, a creature of your choice that you can see within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you until the start of your next turn.

Your spirit is able to extend its influence as your vitality wanes. While you're below half your hit point maximum, creatures frightened of you must take the Dash action and move away from you by the safest available route on their turn, unless there is nowhere to move.

Mental Intrusion

6th-level Eldritch Burden feature

When a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you makes an attack roll against you while your spirit is unshackled, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on that roll.

Psychic Dread

10th-level Eldritch Burden feature

When a creature becomes frightened by your Unearthly Presence, it also takes 1d10 psychic damage.

Alien Mind

14th-level Eldritch Burden feature

Your thoughts can’t be read by telepathy or other means unless you allow it.

When you use your Mental Intrusion, the next attack roll made against the target before the end of your next turn has advantage.

Eldritch Thoughts

18th-level Eldritch Burden feature

The range of your Awakened Mind increases to any creature that you can see. As a bonus action, you can choose to telepathically bond with a creature that you can see, granting it the ability to speak telepathically with you until you bond to another creature or dismiss your bond (no action required). The bonded creature and you can telepathically speak over any distance, including between planes of existence.

As an action, you can psychically distort the senses of a creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. The creature can no longer perceive you in any way, regarding you as utterly invisible. This effects lasts until the creature moves further than 30 feet away from you, until you target another creature with this ability, or until you dispel this ability (no action required).
