Channel Divinity
3rd-level Oath of the Reaper feature
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following Channel Divinity options.
Necrosis. As a bonus action, you call forth the forces of death. For 1-minute, when you deal necrotic damage to a creature, it can't regain hit points until the start of your next turn.
Spectre. As a bonus action, you evoke a ghostly visage. For 1-minute, you can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. You take 1d10 force damage if you end your turn inside an object.
Grim
3rd-level Oath of the Reaper feature
When you use your Divine Smite feature you can choose to deal Necrotic damage, instead of Radiant. This extends to your Improved Divine Smite feature at 11th level.
Aura of Sorrow
7th-level Oath of the Reaper feature
You emit an aura of sorrow while you aren’t incapacitated. Whenever a creature within the aura’s range is reduced to 0 hit points, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + half your Paladin level (rounded down).
The aura’s range is 10ft, which increases to 30ft at 18th level.
Disciple of Demise
15th-level Oath of the Reaper feature
You gain resistance to necrotic damage. Additionally, your hit point maximum can’t be reduced.
Death Knight
20th-level Oath of the Reaper feature
You’ve become an incarnation of death. As a bonus action, you gain the following benefits for 1 minute:
-
Whenever a creature within 30ft of you dies, an Avatar of Death (DMG p164) is summoned within 5ft of their corpse. You can mentally control the avatar (no action required), it takes its turn immediately after yours, and it has 20 hit points. The avatar disappears after 1-minute, or when it drops to 0 hit points.
-
Your weapon attacks deal an additional 1d8 necrotic damage.
-
The amount temporary hit points you gain from Aura of Sorrow increases to your Charisma modifier + your Paladin level.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
