Oath of Ferocity

The Oath of Ferocity is whispered under panting breaths, shouted from atop desolate peaks, muttered in the darkest shade. It is a commitment to life, a promise of death. It is held by those most intimately aware of the thin thread of vitality they walk upon, and who sever that thread for others not out of joy or malice, but out of dire necessity. It is an oath held by raiders, hunters of great beasts, and those who fight tooth and nail every day just to stay alive.

Paladins of this oath are most often found far away from civilization, as leaders of infamous raiding parties or wilderness clans.

Tenets of Ferocity

A paladin who takes this oath does not need to be told what its tenants are, they have learned them for themselves.

Trust Your Instincts. A moment of hesitation is too great a risk. Act decisively, before it is too late.

Never Hold Back. If your enemies cannot secure victory, they are already dead. Do not join them.

See Tomorrow. Using all available resources, allies, and information, survive by any means necessary.

Oath Spells

3rd-level Oath of Ferocity feature

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Secrets Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Channel Divinity

3rd-level Oath of Ferocity feature

You gain the following Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.

Relentless Rampage. You can use your channel divinity to fly into an unstoppable frenzy. As an action, you can make one melee weapon attack. If the attack hits, you can make another attack as part of the same action. If that attack hits, you can make another attack, and so on until you miss an attack or decide to stop. Each attack after the first suffers a penalty to the attack roll, equal to the number of attacks you have already made as part of this action on this turn.

Battle Roar. You can use your channel divinity to assert your superiority over your foes. As an action, you can force each creature of your choice within 15 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature deals only half damage with it's weapon attacks for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of it's turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. A creature that cannot hear your or that is immune to being frightened automatically succeeds on this saving throw.

Aura of Savagery

7th-level Oath of Ferocity feature

You emit an aura of furious determination while you aren't incapacitated. You and all friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain a bonus to attack rolls equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1). To gain this benefit, a creature must be missing half or more of their hit points.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Pain Eater

15th-level Oath of Ferocity feature

The adrenaline pumping through your veins allows you to fight through even grievous injuries. Once per turn when you take damage, you can choose to roll a d6. On a roll of 5 or 6, you have resistance to that instance of damage.

Feral Peragon

20th-level Oath of Ferocity feature

You fight with the wild and reckless fury of a cornered beast, unwilling to submit to death. As a bonus action, you gain the following benefits for 1 minute:

  • When you use this bonus action, and as a bonus action on each of your turns after this one, you can make one melee weapon attack. If this attack hits, it is a critical hit.
  • Whenever you have advantage on an attack roll, you can reroll one of the dice once.
  • If you start your turn with 0 hit points, you regain a number of hit points equal to 1d10 + your Constitution modifier.

Once you use this bonus action, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a 5th-level spell slot to use it again.
