Love Domain

Love exists in many forms—compassion, infatuation, friendly affection, and passionate love are a few facets. Whatever form these feelings take, the gods of love—including Aengus, Aphrodite, Boldrei, Freya, Hathor, Mishakal, Myrhiss, Raei, and Sune—deepen the bonds between individuals to bring out the best versions of themselves.

Clerics of these gods preside over marriages, act as matchmakers, and offer counsel for troubled relationships, but they also nurture the emotional bonds of friendship and camaraderie. Their divine blessings bolster and protect through the power of their allies' deep bonds, burn away malign influences that would distort the purifying flames of love, and enkindle flares of infatuation to confound their foes.

Eye for Romance

When you choose this domain at 1st level, your dedication to fostering the honest pursuit of love has endowed you with a knack for spotting budding romance or lifelong friendships, making you better at understanding others’ true intentions and desires.

You gain proficiency in the Insight skill if you don’t already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses that proficiency.

Keeper of the Community

Also at 1st level, you can cast the ceremony spell as a ritual even when you don’t have the spell prepared. When you cast the Wedding rite in this way, it doesn’t require material components.

Channel Divinity: Shared Burden

At 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to protect your allies through the inspiring strength of your shared love.

When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to choose a number of other willing creatures you can see, up to a number of creatures equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one creature). Divide the damage taken among the original target and the chosen creatures. Each creature must take at least 1 damage. Apply any damage resistance or vulnerability of the creatures involved after you distribute the damage.

Divine Health

At 6th level, the divine magic you work protects you as you continue to spread the joys of love across the world. You are immune to disease.

Channel Divinity: Sudden Infatuation

Starting at 6th level, you can use your Channel Divinity to overwhelm a creature with a flash of short-lived but intense admiration for you, leaving them dazed and confused.

As an action, you present your holy symbol and choose one creature within 30 feet of you that can see you. That creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you until the end of your next turn or until you or your companions do anything harmful to it. A creature charmed is stunned, spending its next turn simply admiring you. When the charm ends, the creature knows it was charmed by you and is immune to this feature for the next 24 hours.

Potent Spellcasting

Beginning at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Embrace the Love

At 17th level, you present your holy symbol as an action and invoke your god’s desire to see love blossom. Each creature within 90 feet of you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed for 1 hour. While charmed in this way, the creature can't attack other affected creatures or target them with harmful abilities or magical effects.

While at least one creature is charmed by this feature, you have a bonus on Charisma checks made to cause hostile creatures to cease hostilities equal to your Wisdom modifier. If you or your companions attempt to harm a charmed creature, this effect ends on all charmed creatures and you can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
