Sorcerer - Oozing Bloodline
The flicker of magic that sparks a sorcerer's innate abilities can have grotesque, discomforting origins. Oozing sorcerers are a perfect example of this. Their ancestors once faced dreaded demon lords only to fail in their quests to slay them. Instead, their bloodlines were cursed for eternity.
This Oozing Curse forces its carriers to see many other creatures as pests. These sorcerers have no choice but to fight off these intrusive thoughts. The curse provides them with regenerative abilities in addition to great power, so that they are always able to fight without so much worry.
Amorphous Body
1st-level Oozing Bloodline feature
Right after you use an action to cast a spell, you can use your bonus action to gain a number of temporary hit points equal to your sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier. You can do so a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
When you reach 3rd level in this class, you learn the spider climb spell, which doesn't count against your number of sorcerer spells known. In addition, you can cast it by spending 2 sorcery points or by expending a spell slot. If you cast it with sorcery points, you take on your oozing form, allowing you to move through spaces as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing until the spell ends.
Speak with Ooze
1st-level Oozing Bloodline feature
As a bonus action, you can imbue an ooze within 60 feet of you with enough sentience to understand your verbal speech and speak to you telepathically for the next 10 minutes. You could use this ability to question the ooze or convince it to leave you alone, but it is not compelled to obey you.
Corrosive Body
6th-level Oozing Bloodline feature
You gain resistance to acid damage. Additionally, when you are hit by a melee attack while you have temporary hit points
from your Amorphous Body, the attacker takes acid damage equal to the damage dealt, up to the number of temporary hit points that you had remaining.
Seeking Tendrils
14th-level Oozing Bloodline feature
You have the ability to sense your immediate surroundings with sensory tendrils or psychic vision. As an action, you activate this sense and gain blindsight with a range of 30 feet. It lasts until you deactivate it (no action required) or fall unconscious.
If a creature within 30 feet of you makes an attack against you while your sense is active, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll as you try to evade it.
Split Copy
18th-level Oozing Bloodline feature
You can spend 6 sorcery points as a bonus action to create an exact copy of yourself in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you, with the following changes:
- The copy counts as an ooze instead of your creature type.
- Its hit point total, and your own, each become equal to half the amount of hit points you had when you created it. Your hit point total returns to normal once the copy disappears.
- Your equipment is not copied, and the copy can't benefit from equipment such as weapons, armor, or magic items. The copy still appears to be clothed and outfitted, however.
- It shares your resource pools, including, but not limited to, your spell slots, sorcery points, hit dice, and features that recharge after a resting period. Hit points aren't shared.
- It can't cast spells higher than 2nd level.
Roll initiative for the copy. On its turn, you decide how it moves and acts. The copy disappears if it is reduced to 0 hit points, or after 1 hour. While it is within 5 feet of you or your dead body, it can use its action to rejoin you and immediately disappear. Once it does, you return to life with the number of hit points that it had, or you regain that amount of hit points.
