Ventari are quite the odd bunch. Druids among them are common, especially seasonal druids like the bloom druids. I'm more of a winter girl, but I do like the pretty colours of bloom so I quite like to spend time around these folk. Ventari bloom druids are quite common in the city of Verona, and I love adventuring there this time of year to see the incredible array of flowers they bring for the festivals.

Druid: Circle of Bloom
Druids of the Circle of Bloom are protectors of life in all its forms. They stand as bastions against death, provide healing, and rejuvenate the environment and the people they come across. Those who devote themselves to this circle seek the restoration of the natural world, opposing the undead and vile beings who seek to desecrate life. One of their many talents involve their flowers, which secrete a rarely resisted toxin.
Druid Level | Feature |
---|---|
2nd | Circle Spells, Aspect of Bloom, Seedling |
6th | Nature's Fury |
10th | Rapid Regeneration |
14th | Verdant Sanctuary |
Circle Spells
At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Bloom Spells table. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
Bloom Spells
Druid Level | Circle Spells |
---|---|
3rd | detect poison and disease, goodberry |
5th | healing spirit, spike growth |
7th | plant growth, revivify |
9th | aura of life, grasping vine |
Aspect of Bloom
When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you can invoke the power of bloom. As an action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature, rather than transforming into a beast form. The terrain in a 20-foot radius area around you becomes your sanctuary for 1 minute, blooming with a wide range of flowers and flora. The sanctuary remains static, even if you move out of the area. The following effects apply:
Art: Johannes Voss
- Creatures of your choice that start their turn within the sanctuary gain temporary hit points equal to 1d8 + half your Druid level.
- Enemies that start their turn within your sanctuary take poison damage equal to half your Druid level + your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1 damage).
- The ground within the sanctuary is difficult terrain for your enemies.
- You treat immunity to poison damage as resistance when you target a creature that isn't a construct within your sanctuary, as flowers bloom over their skin.
Seedling
Also at 2nd level, you can use an action to cause a harmless and nonmagical flower to sprout from a patch of earth or soil within 5 feet of you. You choose a specific kind of flower and it grows or withers as a normal flower would.
Nature's Fury
Beginning at 6th level, when you make an attack or cast a spell that deals damage, you can change the damage type of the attack to poison damage. When you do so, you treat any rolled 1's as being a 2 on any damage die you roll.
In addition, you gain resistance to poison damage.
Rapid Regeneration
Once you reach 10th level, as a reaction to when you take damage, you can spend one Hit Die to heal yourself. Roll the die, add your Constitution modifier, and regain a number of hit points equal to the total (minimum of 1).
Verdant Sanctuary
At 14th level, you and your allies have half cover while in the area created by your Aspect of Bloom.
In addition, you can move your sanctuary to be centred on you as a bonus action on your turn.
