# Path of the Tuatha Dé Danann ## The Tuatha Dé Danann The Irish mythology talks of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the legendary tribe of the gods, who came to their shores and ruled the lands. These gods walked and ruled among the mortals until their leave into the mystical land of the Sidh. As a barbarian following the path of the Tautha Dé Danann, you descend from a line of gods and heroes, and your ancestry is starting to show. Most often, barbarians who follow the Path of the Tautha Dé Danann are the direct descendants of Lugh Lamhfada, the Irish deity who slew the Fomorian King Balor and sat on the throne as king himself; Your kin include the likes of Cúchulainn and other legendary heroes, and your own legend as an emerging demigod is just beginning. ### The Shine At 3rd level, whenever you enter rage, you start Shining. This Shine can be in the form of a glowing crown, dot, or your entire body; talk with your DM about your preferred way of displaying the Shine. You shed bright light in a 15ft. radius and dim light in a 30ft. radius. Enemies within the radius of the bright light have disadvantage while targeting you with attacks. In addition, you can add 1d10 radiant damage to your attack; you can add this damage an amount of times equal to your Strength modifier. You regain the ability to add this damage at the end of a long rest. At 7th, 12th, and 17th level, this damage is increased to 2d10, 3d10, and 4d10 respectively. ### Otherworldly Heritage To follow the path of the Tautha Dé Danann, your heritage must shine through. At 3rd level, you gain the following benefits: * You gain Sylvan as a language. * You learn the Light cantrip. * Your movement speed is increased by 15ft. ### Aura Manipulation You begin to gain fine control over your Shine. Beginning at 6th level, your Shine grows, expanding to a 30ft. radius of bright light and a 60ft. radius of dim light. Additionally, your Shine begins to permanently appear to those who can see auras. You gain a bonus equal to your Proficiency Bonus to Intimidation and Persuasion checks against Fiends, Giants, Celestials, and any other creatures who could detect aura, even if you are already proficient in those skills. \columnbreak ### Ancestral Enemies Your very core knows of your ancestor's enemies. Starting at 10th level, you may add half your Barbarian level, rounded down, to any attacks made against Fiends, Undead, and Giants. Additionally, you gain resistance to necrotic and radiant damage while raging. Your Shine also grows stronger, shining in a 60ft. radius of bright light and a 120ft. radius of dim light. ### The Juggernaut When you reach 14th level, you may burn 15 rage charges (meaning you will burn 3 days worth of charges) to enter the form of the Juggernaut. This form presents itself differently for every person who follows this path. You may become distorted, growing in size and in terrible power, or you may become calm, collected, and bright, with full black eyes; similarly to the Shine, talk with your DM to make your Juggernaut form unique. When in this form, you gain the following: * You assume a visage of your choice, which will be your Juggernaut form. * You gain resistance to all damage, and immunity to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage not done from a magical weapon. * Your Strength score becomes 26, and you gain 245 temporary hit points. * If you drop to 0 temporary hit points while in the Juggernaut form, the you are knocked out of the form. * Whenever you take the attack action, you may attack one more time than normal. * You may add the additional radiant damage from the 3rd level feature The Shine to every successful attack done while as the Juggernaut. You remain in the Juggernaut form for half your Barbarian level times 3 minutes.
