The Mandalorian Order
Mandalorian warriors inherit their own discipline of martial arts which has been honed in combat for thousands of years. The unique combination of armor, technology, and indomitable warrior is both difficult to master and highly formidable.
Mandalorian Vestments
Mandalorian Order, 3rd level
You gain proficiency in light and medium armor. If you are already proficient in light and medium armor, you instead gain proficiency in heavy armor. Additionally, you can now gain the benefits of your Martial Arts and Unarmored Movement features while wearing armor as long as you are not wielding a shield. All archetype features of the Mandalorian Order can only be used while wearing armor.
Additionally, you gain proficiency with doubleblade, doublesword, techblade, techstaff, vibroaxe, vibroblade, vibroknife, vibrosword, and warsword. These weapons count as monk weapons for you.
Finally, when calculating your focus save DC and focus attack modifier, you may use Intelligence instead of Wisdom or Charisma.
Techcasting
Mandalorian Order, 3rd level
Your armor houses sensors, drones, power cells, projectiles, and other gadgets to a degree even beyond that of the average Mandalorian. You learn 3 tech powers of your choice, and you learn more at higher levels, as shown in the Tech Powers Known column of the Mandalorian Order Techcasting table. You may not learn a tech power of a level higher than your Max Power Level, and you may learn a tech power at the same time you learn its prerequisite.
You have a number of tech points equal to your monk level, as shown in the Tech Points column of the Mandalorian Order Techcasting table on page 4, plus your Intelligence modifier. You use these tech points to cast tech powers. You regain all expended tech points when you finish a short or long rest.
Many tech powers can be overpowered, consuming more tech points to create a greater effect. You can overpower these abilities to a maximum level, which increases at higher levels, as shown in the Max Power Level column of the Mandalorian Order Techcasting table. You may only cast tech powers at 4th-level once. You regain the ability to do so after a long rest.
Tech save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
Tech attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
Kom'rk
Mandalorian Order, 6th level
Mandalorian gauntlets are sometimes enhanced with micronized beskar for increased strength and resilience. Your own gauntlets also contain integrated weapons, and you have trained tirelessly in their use.
- Shuk’orok - When you hit with an unarmed strike, you can force the target to make a strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes an additional 2d6 kinetic damage and can be pushed away from you up to 15 feet. On a successful save, the target takes half of the additional damage and is not pushed back. Objects automatically fail this save, and take double damage from such a strike.
- Tracinya Nynir - In place of an attack, you cast the tech power Flame Sweep at 1st level without expending tech points.
- Bes’kal - You eject a vicious knife of Mandalorian iron that leaves deep, bleeding wounds in your target. At the start of each of the creature’s turns for the next minute, it takes 1d4 kinetic damage from this effect. This effect can stack. The effect ends early if the creature succeeds on a Constitution saving throw against your focus save DC at the end of its turn, or the creature has one or more hit points restored.
Multiple effects may be used in one turn; however, each type of effect may only be used once per turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. While you have no uses available, you can spend 1 focus point to use this feature again.
Warrior’s Prowess
Mandalorian Order, 11th level
Starting at 11th level, when you make a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check, you can spend 1 focus point to roll an additional d20. You can choose to use this ability after you roll the check, but before the outcome is determined. You choose which of the d20s is used for the ability check, omitting the highest if this check was rolled with disadvantage.
Additionally, you have increased your mobility by use of a jetpack, rocket boots, micro-repulsors, or other technology integrated into your armor. Your Step of the Wind feature no longer costs focus points to use.
Ori’ramikad
Mandalorian Order, 17th level
Your mastery of Mandalorian armor and fighting techniques is fearsome. You can use your action to gain the following benefits for one minute:
- While wearing your helmet, you gain blindsight out to 30 feet. Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature within that range, unless the creature successfully hides from you.
- When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to add your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1) to your AC, including against the triggering attack. This effect lasts until the start of your next turn.
- When you use your Flurry of Blows, you can make three unarmed strikes as a bonus action instead of two.
This effect ends early if you are incapacitated or die. Once you’ve used this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

I was inspired to create a Mandalorian-themed monk order in the Star Wars 5e system. Almost immediately, I noticed that in that system, there does not currently exist a tech-casting archetype for monks. Quickly, those two concepts guided me to the final result you see before you.
Only a humble portion of this archetype is my own original work. In no particular order, I have drawn from SW5e's Crimson Order, Ascendant Dragon (Unearthed Arcana 75), Sun Soul (Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide / Xanathar's Guide to Everything), and Living Weapon (Exploring Eberron). My sincerest thanks to the authors. Furthermore, I have been assisted in my writing and editing by my friends Thragnar and YojimbohJones. All comers are welcome to use this archetype as they please. May the Force be with you.
