You attempt to reverse an attack that would otherwise harm you back on the attacker. You reduce the damage of the triggering attack by 1d10+your Spellcasting Ability modifier. If you reduce the damage to 0, you may redirect the attack back towards its original target. Make a spell attack roll against the attacker. If you hit, the attacker takes damage equal to and of the same type as the damage you prevented.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage prevented increases by an additional 1d10 for each spell slot above 1st.
