Watery Appendage
Watery Appendage
1st-level conjuration
- Casting Time: 1 bonus action
- Range: 60 feet.
- Components: V, S, M (a piece of dried kelp)
- Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You point to a space that you can see within range and cause a single tendril of water to form. When you cast the spell, you can make a melee spell attack against a creature within 5 feet of the appendage. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 bludgeoning damage and if the target is medium or smaller it is grappled. The escape DC of the grapple is equal to 10 + your spellcasting modifier.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can reform the appendage up to 20 feet from its current position and repeat the attack against a creature within 5 feet of it.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.
