Gray Dragon
Mindless and ever hungry, gray dragons burrow through the deserts of mana wastes searching for a meal.
It is unknown if gray dragons are attracted to places where magic has been broken, if being in such places turn them into gray dragons, or if they were created when magic in the area was destroyed, but the result is the same.
Magic Hunters. Gray dragons appear to only ever be found in places referred to as mana wastes, places where magic was violently destroyed and spellcasters find themselves removed from their power.
Dragons are, however, magical beings, and as such, gray dragons seek out other magical beings or items as sustenance.
Spellcasters' Bane. This drive for magic to consume makes spellcasters prime targets for these beasts, pair that with their hunting ground's aversion to magic and finally, their outright immunity to it, even the youngest of these dragons are deadly to the most powerful magic users.
That said, their animal intelligence makes them easy enough to fool with illusions, if they find themselves outside of mana wastes.
Earthwyrms. The manawastes that gray dragons call their home, are often rendered desolate expanses of sand due to the rampage of magic. Although they are adapted to be magical havoc that plagues the surface they are not immune to its effects on everything else, as such, they are prone to gliding through the sand as though it were water in search of their prey.
Their old senses have withered and in their place, the power to track their prey in the vibrations of the sand itself. Many a caravan have been ambushed by these beasts exploding out of the ground beneath them.
