This greatsword's blade has four solid gold sections which are worth 100 gp each. A section breaks off if you score a 1 on an attack roll with this weapon, or if you use an action to do so. Each time a section is removed, the greatsword becomes a different weapon in the following order: greatsword, longsword, shortsword, dagger. If you remove the final section, the weapon becomes a mundane hilt.
