Forgemaster class v1.5

The Forgemaster

  • A hooded figure walks through the woods at night, all alone, as it is asked to be ambushed by the craving bugbears. As the bugbears jumps out of the bushes to attack the figure, they are caught surprised to the illusion that came before them. The hooded figure is surrounded by some fiend creatures looking at them. The bugbears try to ignore the ugly creatures but get ripped by them and one by one, the bugbears become the monsters themselves. the hooded figure walks again with his new soldiers. The orphan girl in the cabin at the corner of the town always seemed strange to the people around her. One night, the farmer next door heard too much noise at night. Angrily, he knocked on the door for answers and as the door opens, the man can see the girl with a half dead puppy lies on the table, smiling and barking at the man with a half bloody smile. These strange creatures are both Forgemasters, special souls who are touched with the hand of hell right from birth. Forgemasters travel the world, using their powers for good or evil as their please and discovering their limits. Forgemasters are very rare, and they try to keep their talent mostly to themselves. With their hellish power they can fight, protect which they love and turn dead creatures into their servants. Those souls who are “blessed” with this power, are discovered in the least expected places, at the least expected times.

Regular People Among Us

Forgemasters are souls who did not choose to become ones and they didn’t get their skills and abilities by birth. For that, Forgemasters live secretly in the most shining neighborhoods, at the warming farmer lands and march next to the evil villain or cause terror to the strongest kingdoms. Forgemasters must enhance their skills in order to become frightening foes to their enemies. Those who chose to harness that power, train daily to the extent of their body, learning their skills through errors. Eventually, using their strongest ability, summon souls into dead bodies.

Arcane Weapon

As a Forgemaster, you channel your powers from within through your weapon. A Forgemaster is nothing without his Arcane weapon. You can only have one arcane weapon at a time. If your Arcane weapon is gone or destroyed, you can make a new Arcane weapon from any non-ranged weapon you choose. The process of the new Arcane weapon takes 12 hours.

At 1st level, you choose 1 one handed melee weapon and make it your Arcane weapon. Also, choose damage type for the weapon between Fire, Cold or lightning. The Damage type can be changed only when changing for another Arcane weapon.

While using the weapon, you can add your Charisma modifier to your attack damage with the type of damage you chose. For example, a level 3 Forgemaster with charisma score of 18 and a scimitar will attack like this: 1d6 + Dexterity modifier + 3 fire damage. (Your arcane weapon counts as a magical weapon.)

Spellcasting

Your arcane powers give you the ability to cast spells of the warlock spell list. You cannot cast spells without your Arcane weapon.

Forgemaster holds their knowledge of spellcasting inside their arcane weapon. When a spell is memorized in the arcane weapon, it cannot be replaced until you switch to another arcane weapon. (If you have more than one arcane weapon, the spells that are memorized do not double, check the table for more info).

Spellcasting Ability

Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your warlock spells, so you use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a warlock spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus +

You can only have 1 servant at a time.
