Comdemned Droids
Droids are sometimes able to reboot themselves after catastrophic damage. The process of awakening takes long enough that many are never able to complete the transformation, whether by incineration or recycling. They are the lucky ones.
Droids that are able to reboot often find themselves alone and incomplete in a scrapheap. These droids are filled with fear of their deteriorated condition and seethe with anger over their abandonment. They have precious few memories of their former existence, and retain almost none of their original programming. Warning messages about their catastrophic damage constantly blare in what remains of their mind. They are left in a constant state of agitation and confusion.
These condemned droids often form packs with one another. They see each other as neither a threat nor a useful source of working parts.
