Asurus Kobold

Kobolds

Kobolds in Asurus are often seen as the weak, cowardly and foolish servants of dragons often compared to goblins and known as merely slightly intelligent lizards by most others, but to those that know the truth they are much more. Kobolds stand around 3 feet tall and weigh around 35 pounds. Because of their small weight and size Kobolds often use there keen intellect to control the battlefield, with distractions and traps they often trick their enemies away from the treasure hoard they often protect. Often enough these skills lend them recognition with greater beings, and due to there submissive nature usually become servants of that being.

Kobolds are said to be the ancient descendants of dragons and thus carry some of their power within their blood, if only used every so often certain kobold carry the power of flight and can sprout wings if certain requirements are met. Flying kobolds are known as Dragonwrout and are seen as great beings and are often leaders of kobold families, kobolds that gain wings later in the life are known as Urd kobolds and may take the leader postion if there are no current dragonwrought. Often though Urd kobolds are seen as rivals in power by the Dragonwrout and may be either sacrificed or exiled from the colony of kobolds which is often a blessing to those that survive the first year alone.
