Reactions.
Putrid Scent. When a creature moves within 10 feet of the Devil’s Finger, it can use its reaction to release a foul odor. All creatures who start their turn within within 10 feet of the Devil’s Finger must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of their next turn.
This large mushroom’s appearance is not just a scare tactic, as it uses its tentacles to snare nearby creatures before dissolving them and consuming what is left. When a creature comes close, it emits a putrid scent that immobilizes the creature, preventing it from escaping.
