Bardic College: College of Metal V.2
The College of Metal is the home of bards who toss away the idea of tradition. Instead of suave smooth-talkers with grace and finesse, these bards tend to be more obsessed with having their music be as loud and violent as possible. Their magic seeps into the sound of any instrument they play, distorting the sounds in unique ways.
Many other bards dislike the College of Metal, viewing it as lacking class and spoiling the reputation of likeability and charm that bards have been cultivating since they came into being. However, there are many who idolize these bards above others. These people will often view College of Metal bards as more honest because of their disregard of what is considered socially acceptable or popular.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Metal at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the Intimidation skill as well as medium armor, heavy armor, and martial weapons.
Onslaught of Sound
At 3rd level, you can amp yourself up with a powerful solo and weave the noise into a physically jarring cacophony around you. As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to change the damage type of your attacks to thunder damage for 1 minute.
Additionally, after you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can deal thunder damage to each creature of your choice within 10 feet of you. The thunder damage is equal to a roll of your Bardic Inspiration die. You can use this ability once per turn during the 1 minute duration.
This radius increases when you reach certain levels in this class: 15 feet at 5th level, 20 feet at 10th level, and 30 feet at 15th level.
Extra Attack
Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Stand Your Ground
At 6th level, you know how to inspire others with your sound so that they can dish back the hateful things creature's may do to them. A creature that has a Bardic Inspiration die from you can roll that die as a reaction and subtract the number rolled from the damage of an attack made against them or a damaging spell they failed a saving throw for. Additionally, the damage subtracted is sent back to the attacker or creature that casted the spell in force damage.
Violent Symphonies
At 14th level, you have the ability to stir violent emotions in others with your sound, causing them to act aggressively. As a bonus action, you can pump the blood of creatures of your choice that can hear you within 30 feet of you for 1 minute. You must concentrate on this feature, as if concentrating on a spell.
Whenever you take the Attack action on your turn, the chosen creatures can use their reaction to move up to half their speed and then make a single weapon attack. This attack deals extra thunder damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
