Skógarvörn

Not much is known about this elusive breed of guardian giants, apart from the fact that they tend to favor places frequented by druids. The fact that they defend druid groves to the death implies a powerful connection between the two, but no investigation has unearthed any substantial results. If the rocks and moss that cover a skógarvörn's hide are natural,

some symbiotic relationship may exist. If the beliefs of some wizards are true, however, and these components are forcibly attached, then something more sinister may be afoot.

Siege Monster. The skógarvörn deals double damage to objects and structures.

Stone Camouflage. The skógarvörn has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in rocky terrain.

Titan's Grip. If the skógarvörn grapples a creature (escape DC 20), the creature becomes restrained. The skógarvörn has two hands,

which can each grapple one Medium or smaller creature. If a creature starts its turn being grappled by the skógarvörn, it takes 5 (2d4) bludgeoning damage. If the skógarvörn hits a creature with a slam attack while grappling a creature in the same hand, the grappled creature takes half the damage the target of the slam attack takes.

Actions

Multiattack. The skógarvörn makes three slam attacks or two boulder throw attacks.

Boulder Throw. Ranged Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 24 (3d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage. The target must make a DC 20 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (3d12 + 7) bludgeoning damage, As part of the attack, the skógarvörn can attempt to grapple the target

Animate Terrain (1/Day). The skógarvörn magically animates up to two boulders within 60 feet of it. A boulder has statistics like those of a galeb duhr, except it has 1 Intelligence and 1 Charisma, it can't be charmed or frightened, and it lacks the Animate Boulders action. A boulder remains animated for 10 minutes or until destroyed.
