Path of the Noble Gladiator
The Path of the Noble Gladiator is a prestigious life. Fighting for glory, rather than survival, you have honed your raw skills to a masterful point. Many barbarians of this path choose to spend their days fighting in royal arenas as champions to the rich, while others have already gone through the colosseums and have become adventurers.
Royal Emblem
At 3rd level, when you adopt this path, you choose a royal emblem and gain its feature. At your option, you also gain minor physical attributes that are reminiscent of your royal emblem. For example, if you have an aegis royal emblem, you might have hard skin or silvery features, or if your emblem is the caesar, people might mistake you for a local ruler.
Aegis. While raging, other creatures, except for those that you have attacked with a reckless attack since the beginning of your turn, don't gain advantage on attack rolls against you as a result of using your Reckless Attack feature.
Caesar. While raging, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can use your bonus action to issue a one-word command to it. If it can understand you, the creature must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier). On a failed save, it is compelled to follow your order, as if by the command spell.
If the creature succeeds on its saving throw, you can't use this feature on that creature again for 24 hours.
Gladius. While raging, if you have advantage on an attack roll and roll the same number on both dice, the attack is a critical hit.
Colosseum Bustarius
At 6th level, you gain a magical benefit based on a royal emblem of your choice. You can choose the same emblem you selected at 3rd level or a different one.
Aegis. While you are not incapacitated, you have advantage on saving throws or checks to avoid being knocked prone, or becoming restrained or stunned.
Caesar. You gain proficiency in two skills from the following list: Deception, Intimidation, Performance, Persuasion. When you make a skill check with one of these skills, you can choose to use Strength for the skill checks.
Gladius. Your melee weapon attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. Additionally, your weapon attacks ignore resistances when you score a critical hit.
Bread and Circuses
Starting at level 10, you are inspired by the great tales of the circus. When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Additionally, you can bolster your allies with tales of bread during a short rest. When you do so, they are provided enough nourishment to sustain them for one day.
Appeal to the Stone
At 14th level, you gain a magical benefit based on a royal of your choice. You can choose the same emblem you selected previously or a different one.
Aegis. While raging, creatures of your choice within 15ft of you gain the benefits of a shield.
Caesar. While raging, if a creature attacks you, you can use your reaction to attempt to enrapture them. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or become charmed or frightened (your choice) of you for 1 minute. The frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
You can only have one creature enraptured at once, and when you attempt to enrapture a different creature, your first enrapture immediately ends.
Gladius. While raging, if you make a critical hit against a creature, you can immediately make another attack as part of the same action.
