Spellcasting. Dr. Rudolph van Richten is a 17th-level spellcaster. His spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 15, +7 to hit with spell attacks). Dr. Rudolph van Richten knows the following ranger spells:

1st level (4 slots): protection from evil and good, absorb elements, cure wounds, zephyr strike

3rd level (3 slots): magic circle, nondetection, water breathing

4th level (3 slots): banishment, freedom of movement, locate creature

Close Quarters Shooter. Dr. Rudolph van Richten doesn't suffer disadvantage on ranged attacks as a result of having one hostile creature within 5 ft. of him as long as that creature is the target of the attack.

Slayer's Prey. As a bonus action, Dr. Rudolph van Richten marks an enemy as his prey. When Dr. Rudolph van Richten hits that enemy with a weapon attak, it takes an extra 3 (1d6) damage of the weapon's type, or an extra 10 (3d6) damage of the weapon’s type if the enemy is an undead.

Supernatural Defense. Dr. Rudolph van Richten has advantage on any saving throws caused by the target of its Slayer's Prey feature, as well as to any ability check to resist or escape a grapple from it.

Magic-User's Nemesis (Recharge 5-6). When a creature casts a spell or teleports within 60 feet of Dr. Rudolph van Richten, he can use a reaction to try and suppress the creature's magic. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or its spell or teleport fails and is wasted.

Slayer's Counter. If the target of his Slayer's Prey feature forces Dr. Rudolph van Richten to make a saving throw, he can use his reaction to make a weapon attack against it. If the attack hits, the save succeeds automatically.
